I have had a hard time trying to find a store that sold permanent markers individually and that since Michael's only carries a limited selection these days, I am glad that Amazon had them and I was able to order them and use them for when I make, address, and send out Thanksgiving cards. Thank you!!!

I got these to dye the white stitching on a cheap but pretty bridle I bought for my horse. Not the usual use for Sharpie markers, but they worked great. Cheap bridles are stitched with white thread instead of thread matching the color of the leather. Looks tacky (pun intended) to me. I investigated leather dye and pens to apply it to small areas. Expensive; I didn't want to pay that much. Then I thought of permanent markers. These are the perfect color and have the right pen tip to change the color of the stitches throughout the bridle; you couldn't even see them when I was done. I got some fancy bridle hardware (which you can get on Amazon, BTW), put on new conchos, and voila! A slick-looking bridle at a fraction of the cost of an expensive one. I've got enough pens to redo the job if I need to. i haven't asked my mare what she thinks of it.
