I had a cheap cordless vacuum before that wouldn't hold a charge anymore so I had to replace it. I still have a corded Bissell but it's a pain to drag around and plug in all over the house. I don't have Dyson money and I've always heard good things about Shark brand. The tests were the cheap rug I have in the bathroom by the litterbox, and the thick shag rug in the bedroom. It tackled both just as well as, if not better (and definitely WAY faster!) than the corded vac. Super easy to detach the roller brush part to use as a handheld and use the attachments with. Battery life just out of the box allowed me about 20 or 25 minutes or so, on high speed. Enough to do about 90% of the house. Dust bin was absolutely chock full even though I vacuumed 3 days ago with the big corded guy. Very easy and convenient to empty, just the press of a button over the trash can and everything came right out. With my old cordless I'd have to stick my hand into the dust bin to pull out the chunk of fur/hair that would alwayyyyys get stuck. The Shark's dust bin has a great capacity and qis so much easier to empty. Excellent suction. I feel like I've been missing out and I wish I'd bought this thing years ago!!The only thing I don't love is that it's very top heavy so when charging or just stopping for a moment it needs to lean against the wall, but that's really not an *issue* and certainly not worth taking off a star. I'll happily vacuum every day again!!

I got this refurbished and it was an excellent decision. I love that it stands up on its own like pictured although I usually leave it connected and just leaning against the wall. The suction has been fine for me but I do have hardwood floors, a bit of carpet, and no pets. It is a cordless vacuum so like all cordless vacuums, this will not have the same suction power as a corded one. They never will. However for my small home this is perfect. I can usually vacuum ~5x rather quickly before it needs a charge. It does sometimes feel like it runs out of battery quickly so I do wish that was better. But overall, for the price I got it, I’m happy with the purchase.

Shark makes a great product. Light weight. Easy to use and maintain. All of the things you like—cordless, suction, durability, battery life. They’re great! And overall, it’s easy to clean … overall. If there is one “rap” on this product it’s that the electric head (the part that actually vacuums the floor) clogs pretty regularly. It’s not hard to take it apart (which you have to do to clean the head), but it stops us from saying this is the PERFECT cordless vacuum cleaner. YES! We are glad we have it. But Shark needs to take a look at how to improve that head.
