Bought these to help my 3 year old understand how to calm himself when he is upset or angry. I went through them with him and he LOVED them. He is able to reference them and understand what to do because of the pictures on them. We leave them in our take a break spot… I’m really glad I purchased them.

I am a psychologist and purchased this to use with some of my young clients. However, they would certainly be appropriate for parents, teachers, etc. as well. I found the cards to be helpful. The corresponding activities are easy and clear, even telling you if you need other props or not. I am always in need of materials that are grab-and-go, i.e. don't require me to spend a lot of time familiarizing myself with them and are ready to use out of the box, and these fit the bill.

These cards are great for kids of all ages. The pictures make it easy for younger children to copy. Each card describes what the skill is, how to use it and and a story to demonstrate a kid using it. Also the variety of calming skills allows for children to find a skill that works for themIn addition the cards come with suggestions for using the cards. Great tool for counselors/thetapist, parents and teachers.

I work as a special educator with children ages 3-5. I find these cards to be helpful for the 4 to 5 year old children. There are alot of cards to choose from and I never use the whole pack, but selecting a few to introduce to a child when they are calm has been helpful. I like the visuals and the idea of the related story. It gives them a solid foundation for using a coping technique. I have not found anything comparable, and find it a fairly useful tool to use as part of a larger program.

I have used these cards with my child clients to help them deal with stress and anger. The cards are very well drawn pictures. However most of my kids do not care for the activities on these cards and would not want to do them.. The activities are not very practical and I think the priced was too much never mind the cost of shipping
