So this is a late comment, and due to timing, I'm stuck with this item. We first purchased this for our electric drums, and it took a couple months until we actually unwrapped it and tried to use it. Every channel had noise on it, like it needed a ground lift. Tried to send it back and because it had been more than 60-90 days we couldn't. So in the mean time we used something else while trying to figure out what to do with this cable. Fast forward to a couple days ago. Pulled the cable out of the bag and slipped on TRS to Mono Adapters (Hosa GPP-290 1/4" TRS Female to 1/4" TS Male Adapter) thinking the problem was just that, a TRS plug in a Mono jack. Only to find out that only 2 of the 8 cables actually work and the others have either an open wire or a short. So, I will be breaking out the multimeter and soldering iron this week see if we can salvage this snake.6/23/2021. Update, after installing new 1/4 TRS connectors, cable read out good, or I though it was. Took it to the church last night and hooked it up to only find there is still a hum on almost every channel. As I touched the main part of the cable where the 8 little cables come out to discover there must be an internal short in the entire harness. This entire harness is garbage and I think I would have been better off just building my own cable with all the time and expense put into what was a brand new cable. Will never purchase another Seismic cable again.

I wasn't sure how well made this would be, but once I got it and hooked up to the unit I was got it for, I was pleased. I think this will work well in the studio or on a gig either way without fear of wear. I recommend this to anyone.

For a Chinese knock off the quality of the plugs and cable is very good. I would have no problem ordering more cable from Seismic.

These Seismic audio snakes are my go to now. Any time I consider purchasing a channel snake I look into Seismic audio products first. They are built with great components, built to last, and are just wonderful for different applications. Studio or live sound. I have Insert snakes, XLR-1/4, 1/4-1/4, and they are all consistently reliable and built tough. I just love their audio cable product line!

I purchased this snake to go from my Firewire interface to my subwoofer/bass-management system. For that, it's done nicely. The cable labeling saves time and confusion in setup and the connectors seat solidly. If I were running a road show, I'm sure I'd look for a more heavy-duty solution. But for a home studio, clean simple cable runs are the determining factor. And this is perfectly adequate.
