The quality and build were top notch.The only thing that should be changed is the aluminum bases that screw into the mount are just too small in diameter, so there is not enough material on the base where it interfaces to the mount for attaching an X3/X4 to a motorcycle mount. I am giving the medium rod another shot but this time I have loctited the base to the mount and used pliers to fully tighten. Without these steps it just vibrated/wobbled loose. Still giving it a 5 star, but know if you are in a high vibration environment you will have to take extra steps to keep it tight.

These carbon fiber extensions are a great addition to my camera kit. They are well made and seem like they will be quite durable. The different lengths and standard connections open up a lot of options not just for action camera, but also for lights and other accessories to be mounted just where you need them. It's handy to have any extensions like this, and these are certainly a good option.

There's nothing I don't like about this - it's pricey but I understand why because of how well its made. The only criticism - actually a request of the manufacturer to make an accessory product to reduce vibration for challenging installations when mounting small cameras on vehicles with suction mounts.IDEA: It would be great to use more than one sucker-mount and triangulate multiple rods to the camera's base. Otherwise a single "stick" acts like a diving board or lever arm, wiggling from the anchor point. So the requested product would be an openable-loop to grip the CG rod, with a 1-inch RAM ball. That way short ball-to-ball clamps could be used to join the arrangement together.

Overall, this kit fits a very particular need... clearance. So you are wanting to get just a little more clearance from your action/360 camera mounted to something. Maybe a helmet like in the photos, maybe you have a magnet mount for a vehicle, a tube mount for your bike, etc... this will work giving you a somewhat custom distance. The freedom units advertised for size are near accurate, the tubes measure 4-1/2"; 8-3/8"; and 12-5/16" giving you 25-3/16" of total extension from the base to the base of the 1/4-20 threads.It is super lightweight and the thread pitches are true so there should be no problem with mounting. Mine did come with everything that was mentioned in the description so it is nice having extras dedicated to this extension set.This only lost a star because I feel as though it is a bit overpriced for what you are getting. Yes, it is advertised as top quality material but lets be real... it doesn't matter what its made of, as soon as it slaps a tree or you decide to curb it and park yourself upside down on the pavement, I'm doubting that this set is really going to hold up to being combat tested. So... do some research and decide if you're willing to pay the price for this vs. something else that could be more versatile meeting your needs.
