If your in need of replacing your down rigger cable, this is perfect. Made of stainless steel braided line rated at 150 lbs, 200 ft in length. Comes with all the ferrules, a rubber bumper, and a metal hook. I like the fact it came with a metal hook because I was not a fan of the original plastic hook although I never had problems with it. You may want to keep the plastic hook if you don’t have a lot of strength in your fingers because the metal hook takes a lot more strength to open and close. If you decide to keep the plastic hook, I would recommend getting a new one because the plastic could be fatigued by the time you replace the cable. You’ll need some crimpers to crimp the ferrules. I have in the past used regular pliers but crimpers are better. Great replacement kit at a decent price. As always Amazon deliveries are very fast.

I had braid on my one of my downriggers and it always seems like it had more drag to it. Switch it up to this drag issues are gone as usual Scotty is always a high quality product.
