I have had a Neat Desk scanner since they came out. When they changed the software began the issues. It became more troublesome than it was worth. I had to have an ID remade and the receptionist had to scan in several documents, different sizes, and even other smaller scale cards. She did them all within about 15 seconds, front and back with the smaller desktop version of this scanner. Excellent quality product. I looked for the scanner online when I got home. I bought the larger scanner with 'better' software, same company. Footprint is still small. Folding cover keeps the dust out of the scanner, which is great for longevity. I'm telling you, this scanner is quiet, fast, and downright amazing. I had to scan hundreds of bills and I put them in sections of 50, front and back. I was done in less than 5 minutes including the time to reclip them. Not a hiccup in the bunch! The Neat Desk scanner was donated to Salvation Army the same day! It works, but it's ridiculous amount of time to do the same work. I mean hours comparatively. As a Realtor, I need quality and work done expediently. This machine is amazing. So far, so good. Best money I've spent in awhile. FWIW: Very easy to set up, intuitive, and will make light of a pile of work.

I had 4 Fujitsu S500 & 1500 scanners at my business for more than a decade. Fujitsu makes the best scanners hands down. I personally used the S500 Scansnap software for my personal use and loved it. But with age the papers jammed more and more so I purchased a Canon R30 to replace my home scanner. Big mistake....So determined to go back to Fujitsu, I purchased this IX1600 and it's an amazing upgrade to the Fujitsu legacy. The Scansnap software is beyond amazing and even more flexible. The IX1600 wireless scanner capability easily connects to your network and the setup is seamless . It's also so much faster.. Additionally, the mobile app is fantastic.Tip: It also includes a licensed copy of Kofax PDF editor.. You don't need a $200 subscription from Adobe to edit PDF's. ( license key is in all the warranty papers, easy to toss by mistake)No better bang for the buck , you'll love it ...

We use ScanSnap scanners at work and they are easy to use. I was a bit apprehensive since they are a little expensive, but I'm so glad I finally decided to go all-in at home.I got the scanner and also ordered "Fujitsu PA03360-0013 ScanSnap/fi/SP Series Carrier Sheets (5 Pack)" for those pamphlets, folding instruction manuals, and odd shaped papers such as news clippings.While I don't need a 5 pack, it was the most economical choice.The software is decent as well and it includes decent OCR (Optical character recognition) software.
