The Mini Water Filter is the lightest and most versatile personal filtration system from Sawyer. It weighs 2 ounces and fits in the palm of your hand. While incredibly small and convenient, this filter was tested to 10 million parts of bacteria and one million parts of protozoa without a single breakthrough — the highest testing level for filtration.
The size, convenience, and performance of the Sawyer Mini filter make it perfect for everything from camping with the kids to travelling abroad where tap and bottle water cannot be trusted. It comes with all the accessories you need to use this system in any of the following ways:
- Attach to the included 16-ounce reusable squeeze pouch to drink directly from the filter or squeeze water into a water bottle.
- Screw onto most disposable water bottles.
- Attach inline on a hydration pack — no adapters required
- Sip from the personal drinking straw and drink directly from the source, or scoop up a bottle of water directly from any freshwater lake, river, or stream.

Absolute Micron Filtering Technology Makes The Difference
Sawyer's revolutionary filter technology is in use by hundreds of groups, including non-profit organizations, relief agencies, and governments in more than 70 countries around the world.
The proprietary element of Sawyer’s water filters is comprised of tiny 'U' shaped micro-tubes that allow water to enter into their core through tiny micro-pores. The high number of those tiny tubes and their surface area allows the filter to have one of the fastest flow rates in the world. This high flow rate eliminates the need to store water, reducing the possibility of water contamination after the filtration process.
Each filter is certified for absolute microns; that means there is no pore size larger than 0.1 in size. This makes it nearly impossible for harmful bacteria, protozoa, or cysts like E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi (which cause Cholera and Typhoid) to pass through the Sawyer Mini. Sawyer filters have been tested by independent and qualified research laboratories and found to remove 7 log (99.99999%) of bacteria and 6 log (99.9999%) of protozoa, exceeding US EPA standards. The filter does not remove chemicals, dissolved solids, or viruses. However, viruses are very rarely found in North America or when travelling to foreign cities.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I clean the filter?
For longer filter life, you should backwash and sanitize the filter after every outing. The Mini is backflushable almost indefinitely, and there are no expensive cartridges to replace, ever
Sawyer recommends sanitizing the filter before storing it. If you backwash the filter and then use it at home, you can prevent bacteria from city water from growing.
How will I know when the filter is full of sediment?
The flow of water will slow down. However, it will never fail. Once the filter starts to slow down, simply backwash it and it will be as good as new.
Is it going to get clogged while I'm out on a trip?
Even with very high particulate/turbid water you should get 5 to 10 gallons through the filter. If this is not enough water for your trip, you should plan on field backwashing your filter.

Lo utilizo mucho cuando salgo de viaje a otra ciudad y cuando salgo a hacer trekking filtra bien el agua no les deja sabor ( solo al agua de las cañerías se queda el sabor ) pero fuera de eso está bien lo único que no me gusta es que su bolsa de agua es muy rígida y no le cabe mucho fuera de eso está muy muy bien

Never leave home for any backpacking trip without this. Is so efficient and convenient that you will never have to worry about thirst if there’s any water source around. It does its job very well and is very small and packable.My only request would be faster filtering. Or a way for it to filter passively. It is quite tedious to filter larger amounts of water

Tolles und wichtiges Produkt für Touren und auch unterwegs im Alltag, in Bereichen mit unsauberem Wasser, nimmt wenig Platz im Gepäck/Rucksack ein u perfekt durchdacht. Wasser schnell zu filtern u schmackhaft.Besser als aus einer Rucksack-Trinkblase! Dazu leichter als 3 Liter damit mittragen zu müssen,wenn Wasser unter-wegs verfügbar ist. Leichte Reinigung. Anleitungsvideo klasse! Ich habe orange gewählt,damit ich den Mini Point besser sehen kann u nicht verliere. Perfekt das er auf Flaschen auch passt,mit einfachem aufschrauben. Habe ihn im Dschungel bei einer 4tages Wandertag in Columbien gebraucht. Habe ihn zu Zweit nutzen können!

渓流釣りで使っています。飲物持ち歩かなくて済むのでかなり重宝しています。自宅(沢水)でも使っています。水を沸かさなくても安心して飲めるので最高です！

Tomo mucha agua, hasta 4 litros al día. El garrafón de agua de 20 litros cuesta 38 pesos en la tienda. Con un consumo diario de 4 litros estamos hablando de 228 pesos al mes y 2,736 pesos al año. Con este producto tomo agua limpia gratis. Tomando agua de la llave ya no me preocupa que me voy a enfermar ya que este producto filtra 99.99999% de las bacterias y protozoas existentes en el agua. Lo que no filtra son los virus. Pero es raro que haya virus en el agua de la llave. Tampoco filtra sustancias químicas como fluor, etc. Para filtrar virus y contaminantes químicos, uno necesita otro tipo de filtro. Cuando mejore mi presupuesto, pienso comprar otro filtro que filtra todo. Pero por ahora, este filtro Sawyer Mini Filter me sirve de maravilla. Este producto es para uso de toda la vida ya que tiene garantía para 100,000 galones (378,000 litros). Con mi consumo diario de 4 litros, este filtro me duraría por 258 años!

Filtro muy practico por su tamaño y peso a la hora de andar en el campo o de viaje, inclusive es recomendable para tener uno en casa en caso de cualquier emergencia!
