I had two different Dyson units which died after about a year. This unit uses the ryobi batteries that my husband's tools use, so it is much more convenient. It works well and seems to have great suction. It is a bit heavier than the Dyson. It is a better value in my opinion.

I had the previous model and after 5-years it died on me. Then looking at how much the price gas gone up in 5-years I was sceptic. However, the new / this model did not disappoint. Much quieter than the old model, better suction, longer use on a battery. Emptying the dust collector not as easy as on the older model, that cost this review 1 star. Other than that great buy.

Wanted a Dyson but didn't want to spend a whole ton of $$$ so I got myself a Ryobi. Great suction power, different settings for carpets and flooring. It was a great buy.
