The product looks like a router plane, has the parts of a router plane and can be adjusted to get a single cut but the slot that the knife slides in is at least a 18 inch too big. You get side to side play from the attempt at a cut. The locking screw "wing head bolt" is too small and soft you will break it before you get it tight enough to hold. You are buying the cutter, base plate and handles to make a useable plane

Produto muito ruim. Comprei e repassei para frente, não vale o investimento.

I'm new to woodworking and bought this to cut stopped dados in a piece of wood for a workbench I made. It worked well enough, although took a bit of trial and error to get the hang of using it. I took a fine file and rounded all of the corners. The corners and edges were fairly sharp (not enough to cut you, but still). I would definitely recommend others to do that as well, to prevent an edge from diffing into the work piece as you slide it around. The blade came sharp, but I still honed it a bit more. The main problem with this tool is that that notch in the blade is ~1mm wider than the knurled nut used to set the blade depth, and the thumb screw that secures it in place doesn't hold it very tight. To get the blade to not shift up, I would hold it upside down when setting the depth, then tighten the thumb screw. This worked well.I've been looking for antique woodworking hand tools for ~5 months, and while planes are abundant, I have yet to find an antique router plane, hence why I bought this one. It works well for me so far.

For what I wanted the tool for, leveling out hinge mortises, it will do fine. The iron is beefy. It's also nicely sharpened to begin with, but I still worked on it a bit to get it ever so much sharper. Overall, the plane seems well made, other than the sole being slightly warped (as noted in other reviews). I suppose could flatten the sole with the piece of glass plus sand paper trick, but I'm not going to bother. You can't beat the price. Even DIY router plane kits are significantly more expensive than this.

I like the size, the blade is sharp enough to use straight out of the package, and with a little honing it does even better. The adjusters work well without having too much slack, I'd say the quality is better than a similar item I paid twice as much for a year ago which came with a dull blade. I prefer functionality over appearance, but I'd say this has both. The cutouts in the base provide better visibility.
