Outstanding doorbell!I’ve had a wired Nest doorbell for several years, along with the Nest Aware subscription required. It worked very well when installed, but became somewhat unreliable in its detecting capabilities as time wore on. Nest Aware subscription prices also increased.Saw many great reviews on the Reolink doorbell, and purchased it through Amazon. As our front entryway is a double-door, kind of “tunneled” entrance, I bought the white doorbell, which has a different field of view, as opposed to the black one.During the install, I used the supplied wedge to direct the view toward the center of our entryway. The person, package, and motion alerts, as well as the button press alerts, are working flawlessly. And no monthly subscription fees, either. I purchased and installed a 256gb micro SD card for storage, and it appears that this card will store at least a month or two’s worth of video clips. The alerts are almost instantaneous on my iPhone 14 PM. They also come through on my Google Nest Hub in the kitchen. The image resolution is great, as well as the audio quality.I’m very pleased with this Reolink doorbell, and as an added bonus, I was able to cancel my Nest Aware subscription, saving me about $180.00 a year, so the new doorbell pays for itself in the first year.Highly recommended.

I tried Blink for a while & was pretty good but if the batteries die no more ding doing! That was stupid. I saw the Eufy that has 2 cameras & keeps the rechargeable battery topped off if you use your wires from existing doorbell & has on board storage but the sound was horrible & live view I could d not hear anything.I decided to look at Reolink & found they have 2 types of door bell cameras one that does a vertical view for like a hallway or portrait and another that does like a landscape view. I got the white one for the portrait or hallway view & can see about all of the front porch in the lower right corner you can see the threshold of the door. The sound is awesome, video and the whole interface is awesome! You can add an SD card for local storage or like others as well you can add a home base for storage & viewing. This comes with lots of extras you may not need so they should d have a few different packages for you needs to lower price but they may think one package one price and it is not that expensive under 100 you get a power supply if you do not existing wires & an ethernet cable that is like 3' so do not know where go with that, but. You can do poe or use existing wires to power it & connect Wi-Fi. You get a sturdy metal bracket not plastic like others. You get the 15 degree mount to angle towards your door if you want which I did then gives more room for wires. Others were cramped in this area. It snaps on & off easily.

The Reolink 2K Doorbell Camera is a solid choice for those looking for a feature-rich doorbell camera without recurring subscription fees. While my experience has been mostly positive, there are a few issues worth noting.Initial Setup and SD Card IssuesWhen I first installed the camera, I encountered some issues with the SD card. The card stopped functioning randomly, requiring me to remove and reinsert it before it could be formatted and work properly again. While this could be an SD card issue, it’s something to keep in mind. Since resetting the SD card, it has been functioning without further problems.Video Quality and Day/Night ModeThe footage quality is decent, capturing clear 2K video, but I’ve noticed occasional glitches with the auto day/night mode. On rare occasions, the camera remains in night mode all day and doesn’t automatically switch back to daytime mode. While this isn’t a frequent issue, it can be a bit inconvenient when it does happen.App and NotificationsOne of the standout features of this camera is the Reolink app, which works flawlessly. Notifications are fast and reliable, ensuring I don’t miss any important activity at my door. The app’s usability is excellent, with intuitive controls and easy access to live footage or recordings. No Subscription Fees – A Huge PlusOne of the biggest advantages of the Reolink 2K Doorbell Camera is that features like person, pet, and vehicle detection are included at no extra cost. Unlike competitors that lock these "smart" features behind subscription fees, Reolink offers them for free, making this camera a budget-friendly yet highly functional option. I hope Reolink continues to keep these features free, as it’s a significant selling point.Final ThoughtsDespite minor quirks like the SD card issue and occasional glitches with day/night mode, the Reolink 2K Doorbell Camera delivers great value for the price. It offers solid performance, a reliable app, and impressive smart detection features without the burden of monthly fees. If you’re looking for an affordable doorbell camera with robust features, I recommend giving this one a try.

This camera system works great with Home Assistant. I don't have the chime setup but I use my Google home devices setup to chime through Home Assistant. It does have a few second delay but very tolerable. Basically any option or sensor is passed through to HA, therefore automations are very easy to setup with the sensors as triggers.Great buy, would recommend if someone needs a device for HA.

I had been using a Ring for over 4 years, just to this one. It's half the price and no monthly fee. Better, crisp 2K picture, installs in a breeze. Minute controls over picture quality and detection. Package detection is excellent. Looks fantastic in white too. Need I say more ?
