So far 2 of these cameras have had issues and Reolinks customer support is not great to say the least. They expect you to ship the camera back to them at your own cost, even though the cameras are just a few months old and still under warranty. I own over 15 Reolink cameras and out of all of them 4 have had problems over the years other models the LED light burns out. They aren't bad cameras but the customer support is not great.

Product seems to be nice. It didn't work for my application but they have good customer service!

So far so good. Just need strong wifi since this has internal antenna.Sucks the next day it went on lightning deal for $10 cheaper.Update. Sucks. Wifi AP is 50ft away and this thing can't pick up signal. I knew I was taking a chance with a camera without external antenna. It's useless.

The camera is decent and very easy to set up with the Reolink app. It supports a maximum of 128gb SD card for local recording. The motion detection works well, as do most of the other features. The maximum resolution is 1080p, which is sufficient if you are using this on a small porch as a sort of door camera, or if you want to see cars/people over a larger area, but don't expect to see detail like license plates or facial features at all but the closest distances. That being said, I several of these that fit my use case well, and for instances where I need finer detail I use something that is 5MP or higher in resolution. I also have to give a good mark for technical support; one of my power adapters went out and Reolink didn't have any replacements to send me, so they just told me to buy a compatible one here on Amazon and then credited the difference back to me from my original order. Overall please with purchases and will probably buy one more.

This is my second Reolink camera and my first Lumus. My earlier purchase was an E1. The E1 was a little awkward to install, given my network environment, my surveillance preferences and my inexperience with Reolink. (See my review there for details.) I expected the Lumus installation to be a snap, but it was just a bit different from the E1, and it still took me over an hour. Here is what I learned....The first obvious difference between the two devices is that the E1 has a port for an Ethernet cable and the Lumus does not. The manual is not absolutely clear about the fact that if the device has an Ethernet port, you must use it for initial setup. Since the Lumus does not, this part was new to me.(By the way, the manual that I downloaded from here was a little blurry. There is a better version with clearer illustrations on the Reolink site.)The Lumus, like the E1, requires use of the phone app. I already had it, so I thought I was good to go. It saw that I had previously configured WiFi when I installed the E1. Nevertheless, for the new Lumus device lacking an Ethernet port, you must select “WiFi Not Configured” and go through the ensuing steps. The manual might have been better at emphasizing this point.I learned that some of my problems with my original E1 installation were due to my bad typing. The app can be toggled to let me see the WiFi password that I have typed in. Later, though, I never did get it to let me see the e-mail password that I had typed.)Another thing about the app. After the Lumus scans the QR code on your phone, there is a voice prompt telling you to please wait while it tries to connect to your router. The screen on the app shows “Connection to the router succeeded” with a check box “I have heard the voice prompt.” Under the “Next” button, in tiny print at the bottom of the screen, is a selection for “Connection to the router failed.” Do not get ahead of the Lumus on this step. Do not hit “Next” until a new voice prompt tells you that connection to the router succeeded. If the first attempt fails to connect, hit the appropriate line at the bottom.Eventually, after providing a password and a name for your Lumus camera, you'll get “Initialization finished.” There is a check box for “Save the QR code to your smartphone,” which I presume means that the app will save the QR code (containing WiFi specs, etc.) that it produced for you to scan into the Lumus camera. Though the QR code on the Lumus camera itself will be exposed to the elements outdoors which make that code impossible to read sometime in the future, I did not see the value in taking a picture of it outside the app.)After that, configuring the camera to your needs is fairly straight-forward, remembering that the manual covers features that are not available on your device.
