Needed this to cover a larger area as the photo shows I have spiral stairs in the house (random bit that came with our new home), but I have a baby who crawls faster than I can run so I needed to get the house baby-proofed ASAP. this this is great. Sturdy. Kinda tricky to open at first because you press the button and slide and kinda lift. Seemed weird but once you get it it’s fine. Doesn’t look bad aesthetically. I think it was a good value for the money considering it’s hard to find a gate for the area I needed. Would definitely recommend.

After buying and returning 3 other gates, I finally found this one. This gate keeps my 17 month old and 3 year old golden retriever away from my kitchen and the stairs! This gate was so easy to install and is impressively sturdy. My son pulls and pushes on it with all his might and it stays put. I installed in in a zigway formation to enhance the sturdiness and secured the gate to the ground with alien tape at certain points. It does not budge AT ALL!absolute life saver. Highly recommend.

I hardly ever write reviews, so something has to go really great or really bad for me to give my input online.So I moved into a new house with my aging father recently and brought my 5 chihuahuas and I didn't want them roaming the whole house, so I needed a long gate to keep them contained to one half of my office for the most part. I thought this gate would work and went over the measurements and thought everything would fit. It arrived on time and, upon first seeing it in person, I started to become worried that my smallest dog, weighing in at 3.2lbs, could maybe squeeze through. I held her and tried to gently see if she could pass through and I didn't think that she could.When we got into the new house, I opened the box back up and setup was fairly easy and I was confident that this would work. It fit very nicely in the space I had measured out. I put all 5 dogs in, and yes, the smallest one came straight through. Now, by the time I moved into the new house, the return window had passed and even if it hadn't, I didn't want to have to box it back up and ship it back out. So, I decided to try and make modifications to keep my smallest in. I got mesh netting and zip tied it all the way across. This did work... until they chewed through it. By this time, one of my larger dogs, 9lbs, found she was able to squeeze through as well (How? I don't know but she managed somehow).So I figured the fabric mesh wasn't strong enough, so I thought maybe chicken wire but i didn't want sharp edges for my dogs and nieces to cut themselves on, so I got a thick plastic mesh and tried that. Again, they chewed straight through it (They may be small, but they are power chewers). While searching for an alternative, I barricaded the gate with boxes to try and keep them in. They still found ways out by pushing the boxes or jumping onto the boxes. I stacked the boxes higher and one was still managing to get out.Around this time they were trying harder and harder every day to get out, so much so that, with the short screws this gate comes with to mount it to the wall, they were able to pull it out of the wall while it was screwed into the stud. Also, the poles that connect the panels, they are very flimsy and fall down even when screwed in properly upon setup. I would regularly come home and find the connector poles completely unattached and on the floor. My dogs are all chihuahuas and under 15lbs. If they can knock the connecting poles down and pull the connection from the wall, I wouldn't just not trust it around small dogs, but larger dogs or children of any age either. A large dog or child would have NO problem messing and pushing on it enough for the gate to crumble.As if this wasn't enough, the gate locks at the top and has little pegs that swivel out at the bottom to "lock" it in place. I HATE having to bend over and swivel that piece up and down just to open or close the gate. Save yourself the stress and get the pet gates from FXW here on Amazon. MUCH better quality, easier setup, much more sturdy, the locking mechanism is easy but firmly locks the door, top and bottom, and the connections between panels are very strong. Best thing, not one of my dogs has ever gotten out of it, not even the smallest.

Review of the 130 Inch Regalo Gate & Yard - Not a paid reviewPros:-cheaper than other alternatives, some are charging 100+, ridiculous for a few panels of metal-looks like a decent brand-medium wide 130 inches, 12 ft 10 inches, not bad, I mainly bought it to block off kitchen so my infant doesn't crawl in-not too hard to install, simple mechanism to loosen and tighhten barscons:-construction is not bad, borderline flimsy/good enough, once my kid reaches 2-3 years old this is not going to contain him, left and right is more sturdy due to the more firm fastening of the wall mounts, middle is a little on the flimsy side, but then again my left and right side is double panels, two legs better than one-the gate button is probably going to break pretty fast, I like their 38.5" gate lock/unlock mechanism design better, you slide and lift and exit or enter, for this one you press button down and then slide to open or close (refer to picture 1 & 2) --> 38.5" gate link, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001OC5UMQ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details-price could be a tad cheaper, mom & dads could use cheaper pricing, but that is just my opinionwhat would make this product better:1. additional 4 wall mounts to secure the gate to wall, make it detachable and lockable so I can hook it to any of the metal bars instead of forced to only use the corner detachable bars, mainly because if I cant attach the wall mount at the left or right corners, at least I can hook it up the the bars in the middle and secure it to a wood stud in the middle of the wall (every 18" is pretty standard in usa) (refer to picture 3 & 4)2. when removing a panel, allow me to reattach the whole assembly back to the end of the gate then I can put the wall mount, but when I take out a panel the end of the panel is useless and empty, I ended up using all the gates with two on each end, the part that is too long I folded both ends, so on each end i have TWO gates folded, I guess it will stand more sturdy this way and was the best way for me to install (refer to picture 3 & 4)3. provide some wood or some kind of extension, I had to get my own wood to make up the 1-2" that I needed to screw the wall mount in one corner (refer to picture 3)4. change the door locking mechanism to the same one as the 38.5" one, I prefer something that isn't going to rely on a button long term, slide and lift up, cant get more simple than that, Im not sure how long this button mechanism will hold up (refer to picture 1 & 2 for 130" and 5 & 6 for 38.5")5. make the produce a little wider so it sits more firm and is not easy to wobble or compromiseoverall happy but expect to do some DIY if your wall is a little short or long, DEFINITELY measure the wall before buying
