20 year old fan. Haven't used in a while. Our remote stopped working - would not light up even after changing battery. The old remote had the name "Litex" written on top , not Hampton Bay but other than that looked identical to three button remote pictured, so I took a chance and ordered anyways. Put in the battery and the remote lit when pressing fan speed. Next went to our bedroom to try it out and voilà! It worked. Easy Peasy. (The four prongs above the battery were in the same position as those in my old remote - this needs to be checked and adjusted so they are in the same position as your old remote and may be the reason why some people have had issues). Ours just straight up worked. So grateful to this seller. Thank you thank you.

Based on a review where the reviewer pointed out to make sure that the prongs on the new remote are set the same as the prongs on the old one, I did that when I received this new remote. After putting in a 9V battery, it worked immediately both the light button and the fan button.No problems whatsoever.Would recommend purchasing this remote but, again, remember to set the prongs and you should have no problems.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this remote. Without the codes, it was almost impossible to link it to my ceiling fan. The setup was frustrating, and I couldn’t find clear instructions or support to make it work easily. Even after some troubleshooting, it didn’t meet my expectations.
