I ordered this net because I wanted something collapsable to keep in my car with my more portable fishing gear. I assumed I would get a small/flimsy net, but I was shocked to see how solid this net it. The collapsable pole is heavy duty and can hold a large amount of weight. The collapsible net locks firmly in place so there no issues when catching your fish. Storage is simple and takes up a tiny amount of space.Highly recommend if you are looking for a portable net.

Once you've unfolded it and extended the handle, this is a good size for anything that you do from kayaking to boating. Shortening the handle or extending the handle allows you to adapt to any situation for landing a fish. As for the folding portion, it makes this portable and stowable on a kayak, boat, or shore fishing cart. Other than that, it's made very well with good quality materials. The netting is rubber coated to prevent the fish's scales from being damaged if you're doing catch and release. It also serves as a protective layer against the elements breaking down the netting material. As for the frame, it's pretty sturdy throughout. The handle is very solid too having ribbing that helps in the prevention of flexing. The handle has a good grip to it as well. There is no lanyard looped end, so I'll be installing one. I'll be adding some heat shrink tubing to the fore section of the handle as well for those just in case you need a grip in that section. Overall, this is a very solid landing net that's portable and adaptable to whatever you do during fishing. It's well worth it when it's fully modified to your liking.

This is anything you could need for fishing from a boat. In fact, I'd argue it's perfect if you have a smaller boat and space is at a premium. This net folds up nicely and collapses easily for quick storage. The functionality is quite intuitive and it feels pretty durable. I have my doubts that it will last forever if used in salt water, but with proper care and a freshwater wash down after use, it should hold up well. We used this net on a recent trip for redfish and it did great netting trout, reds, snapper, and catfish. As the title says, this net is great for the price point. I honestly would buy it again tomorrow as a backup to have on board at all times.

I got this mostly for carp fishing but also to use while traveling. When I carp fish, I usually have to hike in far and go up and down a large hill. Having a collapsible net is great because I can just put it on my backpack tackle bag and it's one less thing to hold in my hands. This net works great for that as it collapses down to a reasonably compact size both with the net and the handle. When extended, the handle is plenty long enough for me to land carp from a muddy bank. I love that the net is rubberized so it does less harm to fish as you land them. For a folding net, this is still pretty sturdy thanks to the design it uses. Most folding nets like this have a very weak hinge area where the handle meets the net, but this one uses a system that I've never seen before and is way superior. The hinge goes around the handle and locks in place with push metal push tabs. It uses a much thicker plastic than other nets and with proper use will last a long time. Just make sure you lift the net vertically once you have the fish in it so it doesn't put all the weight on the hinge and handle. I'm very impressed with this and can't wait for our waters to melt enough to fish and use this!
