My husband loves little jumping spiders. He is always catching them in the house and saving them from me. A few times he has kept them around in little containers (but ultimately sets them free). I thought it would be cute to buy him a jumping spider so I snagged this little enclosure. It is PERFECT! The size is exactly what I was hoping for. Everything is already assembled out of the box. The doors are magnetic and they stay firmly closed. The holes for air aren't huge so I trust the spider won't get out. If you need a little enclosure for a spider, this is it.

I got this to catch spiders in my house. I don’t like killing anything that’s just minding its own business. And putting a cup over them and sliding a piece of paper under it was getting to be a little much. This little box is so well designed. Little magnetic door with super strong magnets, it has a lot breather holes. And is 2 story. Entirely clear, like plexiglass. It’s small. Not a lot bigger than your hand. So I’d not keep active bugs in there for very long. Would be cruel. But it’s great to transport. Like from inside to outside. And great to observe them/ identify them.

This is only my second enclosure. I have 2 juvenile bold/daring jumpers. This seems a great cage and is the same design as my other with the one piece molded unit and 2 magnetic sliding doors. I love the sliding doors because they sit in channels which eliminate the side cracks that sometimes happen with hinged options. The air holes are farther spaced than my other but seems to have plenty for cross ventilation. I will note at first I thought every crack was sealed at the meeting surfaces, but I want to modify that there is a tiny crack along the top where the door meets the wall. I did not have my glasses on initially so when looking, i thought it was flush. However, after setup, I put in a small fruit fly/gnat size and the goober flew out. After putting on my glasses and examining it closer, there is a very small crack there in the space. Not a big deal for me because my jumpers are large enough to not worry about them. But, after catching the fly and reintroducing into the enclosure I simple folded some paper up and stuffed it into the crack until Jumps caught his lunch. So, if you don't us ethe top door, you could tape that crack or add some paper, etc if you need to. Overall, I am not bothered by it but wanted to point out because others may have smaller spiders and/or use smaller food sources than I do. The crack can become larger if you do not press down on the top door to limit the gapping. I just have to remind myself to do so. I love the one piece builds as I feel they are sturdier and I appreciate the dual opening. I gave one Jumps who builds at the top and one doesn't. On the top builder, I just do not use the top door. Simple. But, I like the flexibility to choose which to use. Plus, Having both doors off helps with setting up the enclosure and cleaning it out. Large hands will have a tough time fitting in the openings. I have small hands and it can still present a challenge for me. But, I think that's pretty consistent with most cages this size. I really like this one. The magnets are strong and hold the doors shut. As such, use caution and make sure your little buddy is not near the door when opening/closing because if your fingers slip off, the magnets will slam together even when ¼ or so inch apart. The sidewalls are not so thick they inhibit the magnetic accessories and everything I have tried to attach has worked fine. If you have anything with tiny magnets, that may not be strong enough to penetrate through, though. Also, the clarity of the walls is superb—at times it looks like glass.

This Jumping Spider Enclosure is Great. I got this for my Daughter, who wanted a Jumping Spider. I never heard of that before and thought she was crazy till I saw this Enclosure for them. She said this Enclosure is Great, because there are vent holes and a door for easy access. This is clear and can see everywhere inside it.I'm not a spider lover at all, actually I'm terrified of them, so I hope it won't get out. This has magnet accessories for the "pets". Corners and sides all seem well build. Seems durable enough.Price is Great. She recommends it.
