These brackets saved me from trying to drill holes on the parcel shelf when installing speakers on my 2005 Corolla. If you want to drill holes you will need a right angle drill since one hole is very close to the back glass and you will have very little clearance for a drill. I would use sheet metal style screws to hold down the speakers instead of what they provided with the brackets, The self tapping feature of a sheet metal screw is a big time saver. They will have to be short since the bracket is not very tall.

Installed these adapters in a 2007 Toyota Corolla. They fit very well and securely held the speakers in place. Every fiber in my body wanted to install these spacers with the smooth side up, but they are designed to be installed with the RIBBED side up. One of the four corners of the adapter is dog-eared. When installed this corner of the adapter will be oriented in the front left position on both sides (left orientation being as if you were sitting in the drivers seat facing forward). There were two small problems I ran into when installing the speakers to the adapters were as follows.1. The dog-eared corner: When installed, the frame on the new speakers came very close to the edge of the adapter bolt hole. The factory bolts have a wide base on them and could not be inserted with the speakers in place. I ended up purchasing a cap screw with the same thread pitch as the factory bolts. The smaller head size on the cap screw fit perfectly with the new speaker installed.2. The small screws supplied to attach the speakers to the adapter would slightly protrude past the bottom of the adapter (by about one thread length) when attaching the speaker to the adapter. The screws sticking past the adapter would not allow the adapter to sit flat against the vehicle when the speakers were put into place. I simply used a 5mm flat washer and a 4mm lock washer under each of the small screws. This made the screws flush with the bottom of the adapters when tightened.Overall these speaker adapters worked well and appeared to be adequately constructed for their purpose. I would recommend these to a friend.

Out of all the things that I bought to replace all of my factory speakers in my car this was probably one of the easiest. I didn't have to modfiy anything to replace my rear speakers with the help of these. I've seem some youtube videos of people taking the old speaker/bracket and cutting out the speaker and reusing the bracket. But with as cheap as these are just buy them and use them. These will fit in a 2002 Camry. Now with that said. One thing that I did that I'm not sure was my fault or since this is a universal bracket use for other makes, I had to flip the bracket over. As I was gauging to figure out how and which way the speaker and bracket needed to lay in the car and used the factory as reference I had to flip the bracket over to make all the holes line up. I thought that this would be a left or right thing. Either I got it wrong and there is a left and right bracket or I just used the brackets upside down. Either way it all worked and they are secure with no risk of rattleing or coming out.
