Due to the useable height of the adjustable handle bars, this scooter will really be great for kids about 3 ft 10 to about 5 foot 3 or so in height. Any taller than that and you're hunching over. The wheels spin pretty well right out of the box, the foam grips are cushiony and comfortable, and my two kids were out zooming around in no time. And in typical fashion, they also just drop it instead of setting it down gently, and despite the abuse, the scooters look no worse for wear.As far as folding it down, we've given up on that because it's not as smooth an action as you would think. The kids just leave it next to the bikes in the garage and these scooters are really so small that it doesn't really take up all that much room. I've seen other models with kick stands and I wish that was available for the A3 as well, since these scooters tend to eventually slide to the floor of the garage and is always at risk of getting run over by the cars.As far as durability goes, the aluminum frame is relatively strong and sort of held my weight (185 lbs) but not without having a bit of flex to it with a feeling of deep dread that it was just going to snap at any moment. And no wonder, since the manufacturer lists the max weight of this scooter at 143 lbs! If you're an adult of any decent height or weight, I'd go for the A5 model, which is designed up to 220 lbs. And besides, the larger wheels of the A5 will definitely help with the ride quality.Overall, for kids, this is light, durable, fast, and reasonably priced.

Excelente producto, materiales de primera, entrega a tiempo y lo mejor mi hijo quedó fascinado. Solo un detalle, el empaque llegó medio abierto, desconozco el motivo, pero estaba completo mi patín.

My son who is almost 5 but the size of a 6/7 year old and very adept and biking / scooting, tried the A1, A2 and A5 in a local shop. Wow - totally recommend doing this because we could tell instantly that the less reviewed, seemingly less popular A3 was perfect for him. Can’t understand why the A1 is so popular!! Get this instead!!!I am 120 lb so meet the maximum weight requirement and I tried it and could see why my son preferred it too: the larger board is nicer to use (even for small feet), feels “just right” and the wheel size is perfect. My son loves that it folds and has an adjustable telescopic handle bar.Couldn’t find a better price for the silver / black anywhere else. Thanks Amazon!P.S. my son went from a three Wheel scooter to a two wheel. Don’t let anyone tell you that your young child needs the Micro Mini over the Razor. My son mastered the Razor in less than an hour. The Micro Mini is super fun and agile (I tried it as well) and very well made but expensive and if your kid is like mine, will want a “big boy” scooter with two wheels to look hip with the other kids in the playground . It will also grow with your child and last longer !! All for $80.
