pros:- good looking- comfortable- good battery life- detachable mic- qualitycons:- the foam part of the mic in the image didnt arrive for me- sometimes the mic randomly sets its volume to 24 or 0. thought it was defective at first, fix it by going to sound settings -> sound control panel -> recording -> properties -> levels- the headset has a toggle to switch between hyperspeed wireless and bluetooth but it always connects to both if bluetooth is on instead of just sticking to one. also sometimes you wont be able to switch between them (press power button thrice) and will need to restart- super light and loose, falls off easily

Okay so... so many of these reviews talk about this headset having great audio. People who LOVE audio even say its so good...I put these things on to set them up for my girl, played a youtube video and it literally sounded like a pair of airpods playing from across the room inside of a tin can. I was insulted at the audio quality. What the hell? I've owned several Razer headsets in my time and I've never had a single one sound so utterly trash. Immediate return. The device itself? It's cute AF, she loved it, and it feels lightweight and sturdy. Though I'm sure with a non-careful hand one might snap something if they set it down to hard or yank to much to pull it off their head. Use TWO hands people. Cmon. I've seen your reviews...Everything about this item is great, except the god awful sound quality when using bluetooth. I refuse to let her experience video games and music at this poor level of quality.THAT being said, when plugging in the audio jack, the quality was slightly improved, but unfortunately only coming out clear through 1 ear cup, and half as loud in the other one, and not so improved as to be worth wearing these over some standard issue call center headset... Hmm. Literally a pair of 2005 ipod earphones sounds better.I'm returning these ones and getting the exact same pair in hopes that perhaps it is just a defective model. I will update the review to let you all know.I'll also look into whether or not it is the software drivers, which, low key hard to update as these headphones do not work with Synapse. To be fair, I didn't try all that hard to update them due to the distaste I had from hearing the initial BT quality. I work with music and audio on hobby projects so yes I know about EQ apps and the like, but I wasn't even going to bother with this particular pair after hearing the audio jack quality.Frankly you shouldn't need a 3rd party EQ app to make things sound better. They should sound good on their own, and the EQ apps can serve to enhance them if you want. Hard to enhance garbage sound quality though..Really confusing when looking at all the glowing reviews for this product, so I'm holding out that there is hope for this purchase. We will see tonight when they show up. Razer is usually a good product. Will keep you appraised.*EDIT*2nd pair sound more like it did with the audio jack plugged in. which was just OK. By no means amazing or great. My air pods have better quality than these. Like I said though, they are super cute and lightweight, and they earcups are comfy. I'm just disappointed in the sound. First pair was certainly defective.

Me tocaron defectuosos.

I work from home and have two cats that have many things to say, especially during my meetings. My husband also works from home and is on calls frequently. The mic, especially with the foam filter works fantastically. No one can hear all the sounds of my house. The sound quality for hearing others is great. I love that it has its own mute setting. I can walk around the house and still talk when needed during calls. The sound is also great for movies. It has great clarity, handles bass, mid, and treble really well. There wasn't any muffling or anything. My only complaint is I had to connect to my phone once which worked great. But then when I wanted to connect via the dongle to my computer the headset connected to both my phone and my computer at the same time! You can swap the connection, but when I turned it on it auto connected to my phone first, even when the last connection was via the dongle. I ended up removing the device from my Bluetooth list on my phone so I didn't have to keep fighting with it every meeting. Other than that, I've been super happy with it

My first disclaimer is that I got these on sale for $80. At that price point I'm very happy with my purchase, and going on almost a year now I'm still happy with them. I'll go down into the pros and cons of the Razer Barracuda below.Pros:- Really decent audio quality. Maybe not up to snuff as an audiophile's choice, but for a combination gaming-music pair of headphones it's kinda hard to beat. Couldn't tell you for certain what the sound signature of these headphones are for certain, but it feels as though they have a mild "pop headphone" listening experience, with a tad more emphasis on the lows than the highs. Granted, these aren't very bass heavy, but they don't sound so "flat" if you will. For some people the highs might be a *little* fatiguing as they can be a little grainy sometimes, so depending on the genre or track I might use some EQ to bring the highs down just a smidgen.- Amongst the most comfortable headphones I've worn. I have a bigger head, complete with big hair mind you, and I often have the issue of headphones clamping down too hard on my head, but these? I can wear these all day with no problem. The earpads go over my ears (as they should) and are plush enough to be worn without inducing an earache. They might get warm and make your ears sweat if the temperature starts to rise, but if you use these in an AC cooled room it's hardly a concern at all.- The battery life! I only have to charge these every couple of days or so, and that's with extended listening every single day. If you're upgrading from cheaper headphones I don't think you'll be disappointed with the battery life at all.- Passive noise cancelling. Sure, don't expect to block out the clatter of nearby dishes, loud cars, or bassy booms, but I should mention that when I have these on my partner has to text me from across the room to catch my attention because they can block out human voice pretty well. It blocks out sound to a decent extent, being closed ear headphones, and so long as you don't go in expecting ANC (because you shouldn't) then the muffling it will do to the world around you will be a nice bonus to your gaming and music listening.Mixed:- THX Spatial Audio... It's... interesting? Perhaps for gaming it might be helpful, but as more of a music listener than a gamer, I can guarantee you want to keep this off. It feels like it demolishes the audio quality of some songs, so I never have it on period. Maybe not every person will see it thag way, and some might prefer the weird simulated, artificial soundstage that THX Spatial audio can grant.- The build. These headphones look wonderful, and I suppose they feel good all things considering. However, I can't help but feel there's a missing satisfaction of pretty and distinct metal bits on the headphones. It's more a gripe than anything, but I suppose they don't look like the $180 pair of headphones they're supposed to be to me personally. A certain extra bit of flare would have been nice as they're quite plain and no frills. Again, this might not matter one bit to you.- The size. These are decently big headphones mind you. This isn't a problem for me in particular but if you want a pair of headphones you can feel confident taking with you out and about, these won't be for you. The ears do fold flat, but I would have rathered fixed ears personally since they're exclusively for at-home use in my situation. I can't see there being much use for the folding ears unless you intend to put them in a drawer or something if you're not using them.Cons:- The mic quality. The mic is... not bad...? But not good. Why isn't this in Mixed? Well, they're gaming headphones. The integrated "invisible" beam mics are convenient for the sake of not having a boom mic to worry about, but mic quality *noticeably suffers.* Your mates will be able to understand you most certainly, but I might imagine it's not gonna be the as clear as you might want. If mic quality is a very important part of the deal to you, then I'd suggest to look elsewhere.- The wireless connection. These use a little USB-C dongle to wirelessly connect your gaming peripheral of choice to these nice headphones on your head. The only problem is that this connection can end up being kinda dodgy, despite being right next to the dongle, I've found that getting up out of my chair and taking a few steps away can sometimes cause my music to go into full static for a second. It isn't horrible, but it just feels like if they have a dedicated dongle to connect to the computer and it doesn't really let you enjoy the wireless experience as much as you might be able to, then why not just use them wired instead? (Bear in mind these do come with a nice audio cable if you want to use them wired.)In conclusion I really like these headphones! In hindsight would I have gone with a different pair? Maybe, maybe not. Admittedly the only thing that enticed me was them being on sale. The funny thing is I only game very casually now and so this are almost exclusively music headphones to me and I'm quite happy with them. I'll make the shift to audiophile headphones in the future, but honestly, these are very much acceptable to handle all sorts of listening experiences. For gaming, music, movies, etc., it can really do it all.As for recommending this headset...If you're a casual gamer and/or just interested in the jack-of-all trades nature of this headset, then I say you should give it a shot, though I'd still say picking them up on sale is much preferred. In the end I think it's certainly worth mentioning that I bought them for gaming and I just wound up using them for music instead. A somewhat backwards but pleasant surprise haha. For the hardcore gamer looking for the perfect pair of gaming headphones? I think there's better gaming headsets out there at this price range surely. Unless this headset is on a *great sale* (50%+ off) and you've already got some sort of external mic to compensate for the lackluster beam mic quality I'd say it might still be worth a shot. Otherwise, don't bother and look elsewhere for a better dedicated pair of gaming headphones.

I purchased the Razer Barracuda in Quartz. I was previously using the Razer Blackshark V2 for almost two years but wanted to switch to something wireless and pink.Is this the best headset on the market? No. Is it to audiophile standards? Definitely not. But guess what, I don’t care. I bought this almost exclusively for aesthetics, and it’s perfect. The pink is the perfect shade and matches perfectly with the Razer headphone stand. (If you’re investing in pink peripherals, consider getting the stand, too.)I was having trouble with the adapter at first because I had accidentally set it to seek Bluetooth on initial startup, and so there was an issue connecting to the 2.4GHz adapter. Once I got it figured out, everything was fine.I use a separate mic, so I could not speak to the mic quality. Never use a bluetooth headset mic if you can avoid it. I’m sure it’s sufficient for phone calls but any bluetooth headset mic is going to be atrocious. The headband and ear cups are super comfortable. You can wear this headset for long sessions without worrying about your comfort. I love the flexibility of the ear parts, too, so you can lie the headset flat, if you wanted to. I was worried this would be less comfortable than my Blackshark V2 but I honestly prefer this one after wearing it. It’s much easier to adjust the fit and the foam feels cushier. If you want something that feels good, this one has that set.Audio wise, it’s good! It is not going to have bone shaking bass or that super crisp sound that audiophile folks will be looking for, but it’s good for gaming and listening to music. There isn’t much difference between the adapter and Bluetooth in terms of how it affects the sound, so connection choice is all in your preference. I can hear things clearly, there is no delay in my sound, and I can adjust volume on the headset with the volume wheel.Battery life is excellent, too. I have the Razer Kraken Hello Kitty and Friends edition and this one’s battery seems to last much longer. Granted, the Barracuda doesn’t have any RGB.If you are someone looking for a comfortable wireless headset with good sound, the Barracuda is a great option. If you’re specifically looking for something pink for your gaming/streaming setup, opt for this over the Kraken. This one is much more comfortable, adjustment friendly, and low profile. Unless you really love the light up ears on the Krakens, the Barracuda is the way to go.If you’re brand new to Razer, this is probably a good entry item or one-off purchase. In my opinion, they make great mice but everything else from them is just good, not great. At some point, buying Razer is more to buy into the brand name and Chroma ecosystem, but that’s the point.Recommend to anyone in the market for a good BT gaming headset!
