It really does. Not only acts as a way to make pulling out of your target easier but yes it does really help extinguish your lighted nock, instructions on how to use it are on the back of the pack it comes in, my brother said that he had to use a knife for not having one and said he had a bit of trouble with it and when I tried it with the nock extinguisher it took seconds to turn off.

Works great. Great grip on the arrow shaft. use with arrow release compound on your arrow field points for easy arrow extraction.Indian Trick Rick

I was hoping that you could pull arrows out of a target a little easier than by hand. It helps a little but not much!
