I was fishing out of a stocked Rainbow Trout pond today. I was using Rooster Tail spinning lures, and the trout were biting on almost every cast. But they were all small trout, and I kept throwing them back. I finally decided to use a "bigger" lure in the hopes of getting the bigger trout to bite. So I opened my brand new Rapala Husky Jerk 4.75" lure.On the very first cast I landed a big Rainbow Trout. On the second cast, the instant the lure hit the water, what must have been a huge trout immediately hit it and snapped my line. I had a 10lb line with around a 4 lb drag set. I never even had a chance to start reeling. The instant it hit the water the rod was almost yanked out of my hand, and a loud *snap* was heard. And my new Rapala was gone!So, I will take that as proof that this lure works! I will be ordering a replacement. And using a heavier line!
