今更語るまでもないですが、あらゆるフィッシュイーターをターゲットとする釣り人にとって、マストアイテムだと思います。かく言う自分も、初めてそれなりのサイズのバスを釣ったのはこのプラグでした。シャッドラップという名前からシャッドカテゴリのルアーかと思いきや、超フィネスなクランクベイトではないかな？と。所謂クランクベイトのようにハイフロートではなく、水温にもよりますが基本的にはサスペンドです。バルサ素材とノンラトルの自然な泳ぎで、場がスレている時ほど威力を発揮するように感じます。弱い動きではありますが、マッディでも何故か釣れる笑もちろんハマる時とそうでない時はありますが、ハマれば巻いているだけで釣れます。Rapala全般がそうであるように、リトリーブスピードに関わらず泳ぎが破綻しません。その日の活性に合わせてスローから超早巻きまで自在に試すことが可能です。飛距離はまるで出ないですが、それがこのルアーの魅力に影を落とすことはないでしょう。何よりも永きに渡って売れ続けることそのものが、このルアーの値打ちを決定づけているのではないでしょうか。絶対にタックルボックスに入れておくべき逸品です。

This was actually my second Rapala Shad Rap baby bass lure. Nope I didn't lose the first (even dove in to retrieve it a few times) but I wore it out! Yes this is the only lure I have ever worn out. I've caught so many fish on this lure that the back end started cracking and the hook ring was bent funky. Guess there are only so many times a lure can be eaten and then pulled back out of a fish. Seriously...I've caught hundreds of bass with this lure. Big bass really like to eat baby bass apparently.
