I bought this to clean barrels and uppers that have been removed from the gun. It works perfectly for that purpose! The adjustability range lets you do both short barrels and long ones. The rest alone is worth the money. With the included good quality brass cleaning rod and brushes, it's a steal! You even get a small screwdriver with it.

It's obviously not a professional gunsmith level rack or a sighting sled, but it's plenty useful for giving you some hands free accommodation for the gun. It's not going to handle a lot of direct force or punishment, but for cleaning and basic work it's plenty good.The little feet that come with it are hard plastic. They're not going to grab a hard, smooth surface like a plastic folding table top or even a plywood work bench top. That rubber no slip drawer liner stuff will fix that. Either that, or go to Lowes and find some rubber footies and swap them out, which I'm sure I will do at some point.The brass cleaning rods that come with it are actually really decent. There's two little slots in the center of the unit. That's where they go. It will close fine with them in there.The best feature is that it closes up and becomes very compact and has storage for some basic cleaning stuff like small solvent bottle, jags and some patches.I have had a full size MTM cleaning station for years. It is sturdier by virtue of it's construction, somewhat longer, and I can adjust the height of the racks somewhat on either end. I have dragged it back and fourth to the range for years. Not anymore. It will stay on the bench now, and this will be the portable unit.Again, this is not an RCBS lead sled, so don't try to treat it as such.It gets 4 starts because it's not as sturdy as the MTM, but overall very satisfied.
