Great stereo, easy to install, the reason I didn’t give 5 stars was that after install, it was losing Bluetooth connection at random times, I have updated and still does it. Hopefully it’s a bug fix with a later update. Looks factory after install, there are 3 little tabs on top that hold the screen into the top plastic, I used double sided sticky tape to hold but need to figure something else out, when it get hot outside the tape doesn’t grip.

this stereo does not support steering wheel controls for my 2013 ford escape as it is advertised. everything else is fine, but the experience is a lot worse when i have to take my hands off the steering wheel for a feature that should work.

Bought this Android radio system for CarPlay in 2015 Ford Escape the instructions for installation is very poor and no support on U-tube for this model I did find another brand radio similar on U -Tube that helped with installing. Updated after reaching out for support I was able to get wireless CarPlay to work as described. The radio has a big display but the digital information from the radio station is way too small and for the size of the radio display.Overall the kit comes with everything you need including trim molding making it a clean install. The steering wheel buttons don't work correctly even though there is a button mapping utility app that comes with the radio there is no instructions. Update their support provided detailed instructions on how to connect the combus to the radio and after making the connection the steering wheel mapping app worked perfectly and mapped the buttons correctlyWhat I ended up with is much better than the original factory radio that didn't work but I am happy in the overall performance of this system. Quality of sound is good, and has connections for amplifier, additional speakers, and DSP. The overall price is good. Their support has been great!

Dash kit does not align properly and unit cuts off bluetooth if phone changes service. It's basically an cheap android tablet. Wiring harness is perfect and does well connecting steering wheel and factory backup camera.

This 9 inch stereo head unit for Ford Escape 2013–2018 delivers an impressive range of modern features at a competitive price. Pros include a sharp 1280×800 touchscreen that responds smoothly and displays vibrant colors, making navigation and media controls visually engaging. The unit comes equipped with Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing for seamless smartphone integration without dealing with cables, which is a huge plus for daily driving convenience. Bluetooth connectivity is stable, the built-in GPS performs reliably, and the addition of a backup camera and microphone enhances both safety and hands-free functionality. The support for 5G wifi ensures fast internet access, and the 64GB storage paired with 2GB RAM provides enough performance for most apps and multitasking. However, there are a few limitations worth noting. While the interface is generally responsive, the 2GB RAM may feel limiting if you're running heavier apps or expecting a snappy performance on par with modern smartphones. Installation, though mostly plug-and-play, can require some wiring knowledge, particularly if you're not familiar with stereo swaps or want to retain factory features like steering wheel controls (SWC). Some users might also notice occasional compatibility hiccups with certain apps or voice assistant features. That said, for the price and the feature-rich package, this head unit is a solid upgrade for anyone looking to bring their older Ford Escape into the smart car era without breaking the bank.
