Brackets are good, it would have been better if the number labels went the other direction. The acres that are sent are the wrong size. The size of screws needed are 10-32 and I believe they come with 12-32 screws.

great install all though use self tapping metal screws because the ones that come with strip threads easily

I saw several less expensive products, but they seemed to have issues. I am glad to report these screws work well. You may need to twist just a little bit hard at first - the coating on the rail is done after the tapping of any screw holes, so you need just a bit of force to push that out of the way.I know there aren't always strict rules about some of these things, but this kit should be compatible with.. itself right? But to install them together (getting 40U total), they don't fit. They're slightly too long. I can put one pair slightly recessed, so that the length in the bottom half of the rack is an inch less. But that shouldn't be necessary. (My alternative is to file them both down about 1-2mm, but I didn't feel like it. We'll see if I change my mind.)I'm sure this is great in some 20U DIY audio rack, and nice that it comes with wood screws for that, if you build it out of wood. (No machine screws / nuts for the mounting of these posts though, just screws for actual equipment on the rack.) I'm sure it will be fine, more or less, but I would have liked a little more attention to detail, and that matters - because other less expensive units also suffer form lack of attention to detail. RackPath should set itself apart and earn the slightly higher price point.

Updating my reviewThey're server rack rails - and that's exactly what the description says they are -I wanted audio rack rails and didn't read the description close enough,bought them and then posted a mildly negative review. Updating the review to 5 stars because they ARE exactly as advertised! The only issue was my failure to read the description!fwiw, Audio rails are #10 screws, These are #12 and I needed #10.Know what you want, read the ad, get the right thing. I didn't. My fault. Duohh!
