Fit and install was great. However, not even close to OEM pressure so I'm trying a replacement order to make sure it wasn't just a defect. OEM would kick the trunk all the way open. These I could compress with my hands and trunk falls closed. OEM that is ten years old I would have to stand on them to compress.

Bought for my trunk lid, they are tough to get on because they are slightly long even though amazon says they fit my car. Ended up scratching my paint trying to compress them to fit

Did not fix trunk movement, seems like not the right pressure or internal quality. Within a week or two, oil leak in one and flare on cylinder on other - not good at all! It lets the lid slam UP every time like it's about to rip the metal strut it is attached to OFF.

I bought these to replace the factory ones on my 2012 Maxima. They work wonderfully, dare I say better than the original ones even. Changing them out was very easy too with a thin screw driver loosening the spring the old ones came right off and the new ones went right one. So here's to hoping they stand up over time to two teenagers and their trunk slamming (making Mama fuss at them) abilities.
