For the cost, this gateway works quite well. Out of the box it does not work properly, however. When in the configuration page for the device, you will need to make sure the "Modbus TCP" box is checked (it is not by default). If this box is not checked, it will place additional data on the RS485 line that can't be read by a traditional Modbus client/server role. This gateway does not do any buffering of the server's registers, it simply echoes the requests and responses. This will add a slight bit of transport delay in the system, so this may not be adequate for applications that have rapid poll and response rates. While this works in either direction, it is ideal for applications using a Modbus TCP client when interfacing with a server device that only has an RS485 serial connection.

I'm using this with a temperature sensor and relay to control a freezer unit and send alerts if there is a problem. It works exactly as intended. I have it connected to Home Assistant, although it's meant more for use with a PLC or computer, which would also work well.

Utilisé en convertisseur Modbus Rtu vers Modbus Tcp-Ip.Configuration très simple par la page Web.Je recommande le produit.

Auch ohne tiefergehende Modbus Kenntnisse konnte das Gateway relativ leicht in Betrieb genommen werden. Man sollte sich allerdings mit der Dokumentation am besten bereits davor auseinandersetzen, da das Gateway viele Einstellmöglichkeiten bietet.Um das Produkt als Modbus TCP Gateway einzusetzen, wird der Betriebsmodus auf "TCP Server" eingestellt und Funktion "Modbus TCP" aktiviert.Im Handbuch wird zu Testzwecken empfohlen, einen Modbus-RTU USB Adapter einzusetzen. dieser ist aber NICHT im Lieferumfang enthalten. Je nach Topologie des Modbus-RTU (insbesondere bei kleinen Installationen) vielleicht auch gar nicht erforderlich. Mit den vom Hersteller bereitgestellten Software-Tools bin ich aufgrund einiger sprachlichen Hürden nicht so gut klar gekommen (manche Anzeigen werden in chinesisch dargestellt).Beim Einbau in ein TE-konformes Gehäuse muss die Überbreite des Gehäuses (ca. 24 mm) berücksichtigt werden und in vertikaler Richtung weicht das Gehäuse ebenfalls vom üblichen Normmaß ab. (siehe Bild)Für industriellen Einsatz fehlt die ssl-verschlüsselte Kommunikation (nur http) - ggf. muss dies per Netzwerksegmentierung abgemildert werden.Preis- Leistung ist aber wirklich super.
