Love, love, love this bag. I use it for the gym and it keeps everything I need well rounded and together. I get a lot of compliments.

Wow, this bag is pretty near perfect. It's just the right size for my needs. The shoe section is great, because I do have a pair of shoes I use exclusively at the gym. The pocket is deep, runs about 2/3 length of the bag itself, and is separated so your inside items won't be on your shoes or vice-versa. The shoe pocket is also lined, presumably to keep odor and moisture away from your clothing.On the inside, there's a zipper pocket for wet items, which is a blessing if you're not going right home from the gym. Everything else isn't going to be wet - although personally I carry a plastic grocery store bag inside that zippered pocket for just a little extra insurance. There's a generously sized double - divided pocket where you can keep items to avoid them falling down into the deepest parts of the inner bag.On the outside of the bag, there's a quilted band that matches the rest of the bag. Because it's not enclosed, at first I couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be used for - then I said oh right, yoga mat. Well my mat is way too big for that area, and I can tell you it doesn't securely hold a protein shaker bottle either. If you have a smaller mat or a giant water bottle maybe you'll find it suits your needs. Personally I have used it to hold a rolled up towel, but it still works it's way out. That band would be more useful if it had the kind of cords running through it's top and bottom that can be pulled to desired tightness.It is a well made bag, very easy to clean. I just wipe with a damp cloth. It's not "waterproof" but dries very quickly. There are a few loose nylon threads but you can't see them unless your really looking, and I for sure was NOT going to pull or cut them because due to the nature of the entire bag being nylon, I can't trust that things won't fray or worse, unravel. Just leave them alone and it's fine.
