It doesn't stick to the sofa at all. I've had to cut new pieces over and over again, as they start peeling/falling off within weeks, if not days, and once they do, after pressing it back on it begins to peel off the furniture again with minutes to hours at best. The appearance is unflattering, it's very shiny, shinier than plastic wrap, so it's very noticeable on my dark sofa. I don't trust this for scratching ability at all, I used it to stop my cats from scratching where they had already begun, they could easily scratch right through this. Lack of functioning, decent installation, far too shiny and poor scratching ability causes me to leave this honest review, which is that I would not recommend this in a high visible area, or with cats that try to scratch your furniture.

I read all of the descriptions and reviews, crossed my fingers and ordered this. Twice. Bought more for our daughter’s couch. Just the right thickness, sticks well. Protects our new sectional very well. Kitties occasionally put a claw in it and are able to make a tiny puncture. I was worried at first that it wasn’t gonna hold up, but It has! I’d rather have one small puncture in the plastic than the fabric pulled. Still looks fresh and clean. Would recommend.

My cats are non stop on the corners of my sofa and chairs. They hold pretty good if there not scratching every day. I have found once I place them on they stop trying to scratch. They work super if your fabric is smooth.

I got this to protect my couches from my new kitty. It works great. It does have a shine, but I’ll take that over a destroyed couch. The material is thick and sticks well, even if repositioned. It was easy to install, but you just have to be careful it doesn’t curl up on itself when taking it off the tube and peeling away from the sheet. Bigger pieces are easier to put on with a partner, but is still doable alone. I’ll definitely buy more.
