Anyone that uses an angle grinder knows how important it can be to keep hot metal sparks from hitting your skin, or eyes. To be able to easily adjust the spark guard is a very cool idea! I think this device looks cool too!I liked the looks and hopefully it's functionality so much I spent an extra half-hour trying to find a way to jerry-rig this gadget to get it to work in an acceptable manner. Don't waste your time.I use a Makita 9557NB; 4-1/2" grinder and could not get an functional mounting of the guard to work on my angle grinder. After all the hassle of trying to get it to fit properly I realized, why am I wasting my time on this? I have the factory spark shield which works fine, but I wanted a more convenient way to adjust the shield for maximum efficiency. I couldn't find an acceptable setting, so, it goes in my junk box. Something may come up where in can be useful.One star, gentlemen.

Got this to go on a generic grinder that didn't have a quick release on its original guard. had to tighten the nut down all the way to get this one to fit, but it does just. The metal is thick enough, the size is correct for a 4.5 wheel. the lever mechanism works. Overall this is adequate, but the one on my hf Hercules is more refined, which is something I haven't said about a tool from hf before.

This didn't fit my Dewalt. It has a ring to go around the grinder but mine isn't flat all the way around. I don't know what this would fit. I give three stars for quality but it's not helpful to me.

This worked perfectly to replace the broken grinder guard on my Dewalt angle grinder. It's easy to install and secure to the grinder, and with it's lever-clamp, it is super easy to reposition the guard if needed.

This is a good replacement that is made of thick steel. Fits well on my discount brand angle grinder.
