As an artist, I’ve had the pleasure of using Prismacolor markers, and I can confidently say they’ve become one of my go-to tools for illustration. The vibrant color selection is fantastic; there’s a shade for almost everything, which really helps bring my artwork to life. One of the standout features for me is their blendability. The alcohol-based ink blends seamlessly, allowing me to achieve smooth gradients and rich textures. Whether I’m working on character designs or detailed illustrations, they perform beautifully, making shading a breeze.I also appreciate the dual-tip design. The broad tip is great for filling in larger areas, while the fine tip allows for precision work, making them versatile for various projects. However, I did notice that they can be a bit pricey, especially if you’re looking to build a complete set. Additionally, I’ve found that the ink can dry out if not capped properly, so I’ve made it a habit to keep them stored upright and capped when not in use.Overall, I highly recommend Prismacolor markers to anyone looking for high-quality, vibrant markers. They’ve definitely elevated my artwork, and I can’t imagine my toolkit without them!

Buen producto solo que uno de los plumones venía dañado de la punta, en relación precio calidad es algo caro pero vale la pena a largo plazo

I bought this on lightning deal over a year ago. It's finally due for a review.I have about 100+ of copics, and I bought the prisma to supplement my copics. Sometimes when I need a bigger area to color, I prefer the prismas just because they are a bit cheaper to use. They are very comparable to copics, so if you need a cheaper replacement, I do recommend getting these if they are on sale. However, it seems like the price on these have gotten quite higher recently, almost exactly the same $ as copics. I still recommend copics over these if its only about a dollar difference.Cons:1. They are not refillable. The markers last quite some time, but after 1-2 months of continuous use of my favorite colors, I noticed that the lighter colors go out much faster than the darker colors. Light blue, specifically PM-48 and PM-145 lasted about 2-3 9x11 drawings. The black only lasted about 1 to 1/2 drawings. I had to get a black replacement immediately, but I ended up getting a faber-castell replacement instead, they seem to last a longer on the black end.2. No brush nib, and the colors seemed to spread out a lot more in comparison to copics with usage of regular or water color paper. With marker pads, they don't seem to blend out as easily as copics.3. Metallic sucks, I think this came with 2 or 3? metallic markers and they were awful. I have every single one of these markers since I purchased except for the metallics. I used it once, capped it, tried to use it the next day and it was completely dried out. I could not get any pigment out of them, it seemed like a one time use. I ended up throwing all of the metallics away because they were unusable.4. Kind of a continuation to the markers drying out. For some reason, gray scale of the prismas, like PM 114 and PM 98, 159, do not last as long as the colored variety. Same with the black, for the gray scales, the copics which I have had for 3+ years without a refill seemed to last much longer than the prismas with the same usage.Pros:1. Lasts a while with the same vibrancy, if you use them occasionally. With heavy usage, they don't last long at all but if you use certain colors once or twice, they still last a long time. I've had this for over a year and I touched the dark green PM-32 maybe once or twice. It still works fine and does not dry out in the cap.2. If you have copics, these blend out easily with them, but you can tell that they aren't the same formula. Some Prisma colors will "stick", and will have a greater vibrancy than the copics. It's both a con and pro, but if you need a really darker color accent, then using the prismas is a great tool with copics.3. Good deal if you get them on sale. These are easy to work with and blend just as well as copics. Again, when it comes to blending I think the copics are much better because these colors "stick" a little bit more.Overall, get them if it's on sale, but overall, I think Copics are still holding the crown for the best alcohol markers.

I am a huge fan of this product, this set provides an excellent range of colours and the box keeps everything very well organized. These markers provide rich bold colour with a steady ink flow, and the metallics are bright and still maintain a good flow rate without drying out or clumps. The only downside at all I found with my set was that 4-5 of the markers caps were stuck on to such a degree they were not able to be opened without exerting a great deal of effort whereas the majority of the lids, while tight enough to remain well sealed are still easily removed. Overall, a great product.

I am a long time user of Prismacolor markers. I bought my first set on the advice of a well known artist friend of mine. I still have that set, but have had to replace markers in onsies as the others run out. It's a bit over 10 years old. One thing I appreciate about this set is that the fine tip end is not the .5mm end that came in my first set. While in theory the .5 tip is handy, it ends up always eventually not getting enough ink. With these they work for most applications and the price was right.Things you should know if you aren't familiar with these markers:1) The colors are insane. They are bright and vibrant and fairly true to how they are color-coded on the pens.2) These pens will always be smooth as silk if you take care of them. You don't need to apply tons of damaging pressure because they do what they are supposed to do.3) Very dense and excellent coverage. Colors vary as to if you have any uneven coverage on a larger area, but you can minimize something like that by coloring in strips instead of circles.4) Always store them laying flat or nearly flat and this will help keep the ink from favoring one side vs the other.5) Always make sure you re-cap them tightly. It's easy to do but if you are the type of person who tends to wimp out on re-capping pens you can waste a lot of money.I also have a lot of Copic markers. While I like them as well for some things, the Prismacolors are my go to. Sometimes my Copics leak out and ruin a piece I've worked a lot on but I have never had this problem with Prismacolors, even the brush tips ones.
