Perfect fit, measurements were perfect. Fit our old door and now it’s as good as new!

It is hard to find parts for an older house. This was the exact replacement for our circa 1978 glass patio door.

I bought 2 sets of these to replace the rollers on an old sliding glass and aluminum door based on just eyeing up the existing rollers. The old rollers had some flat spots in them, I've seen hex nuts that are rounder than my old rollers. These rollers fit right in and I just had to drill a hole at each end of the door to access the height adjustment screw which was in a slightly different location than the old ones. The door glides like it's on greased ice now. I should have done this years ago and saved a lot of frustration.

I'm thrilled to bits that replacing the roller assembly on our huge, heavy 8ft x 7ft patio door made it slide again. I've lived in this house for eight years and the door was so impossible to move that it just stayed open most of the time (it was on an unheated tool room, but still, to close the door when we were away was a real struggle... that was the only time we would insist on closing it). Replacing the assembly was a little involved. First I had to lift the heavy door out of the frame and set it on saw horses. Then I removed the metal edge on the side of the door with a block and hammer. Next off was the bottom metal edge, so the top screw holding the wheel on could be removed. Please note the new assembly does not come with this top screw, so save it from your old wheel. Although I compared measurements from the old wheels to the choices available on Amazon, and thought these were pretty much the same, the wheel was actually a little bigger. However, they can be adjusted up or down a fair bit, so I adjusted them as high as possible to start, put the door back, and then adjusted them lower. And as I said, I was thrilled when my door slid seamlessly once more! Funnily enough, my motivation for doing this is that we have our house for sale... I hope the future owners enjoy their seamlessly sliding door! I thought I was going to have to replace the whole door, so spending only $24 on the two wheels was a welcome surprise.
