Now that we can find butter sticks in the stores, it is nice to have a keeper that fits them. Nice and air tight .. a little too tight perhaps but in a good way

I'd say this is best butter dish ever. . . except, removing the lid can be a bit challenging as the stick of butter gets smaller. I bought two of these & love them completely. The gauge for sizing tablespoon/teaspoon more or less is very handy. The lid stays on well. The whole dish is very attractive!However, when I've used about half a stick of butter, I have more trouble getting the lid off. It takes actually picking up butter dish, with one hand holding the top & one holding the bottom I have to physically separate the top from the bottom. It comes apart pretty easy but it does take conscious thought & stop to pay attention to remove the lid without the butter sliding. It has a little bit of a seal that you can feel give way when you hold the top in one hand & bottom of the butter dish in the other hand.It's very clever how it seals without a latch or catch that I can see. Really a bit of a marvel! But when I'm cooking and I reach for the dish to scoop a teaspoon or so into vegetables or such I have to stop. Remember to think about this dish and use two hands before I pick it up. You don't want to tilt the dish because the soft butter will slide. It's maybe a little counter intuitive. Most of us don't pick up the whole butter dish to get a pat of butter while you are cooking. You simply lift the lid, slide your knife and put the dollop of butter into the other dish or pan all with one hand, while you're stirring something with the other hand. It's how I learned to cook.This clever seal that keeps the butter fresher, needs two hands for one little task and is new to me. But I really love the dish! It's better, keeps the butter very fresh and you can tell at a glance,tsp, TBS (teaspoon,Tablespoon) due to the discrete markings how much butter you're using. It's lightweight and the tray of the dish is reversible. You can use either side. One side has the markings for amounts, while the other side is a bit deeper so would allow for a bit of melt off from the butter (in warmer weather) to stay in the dish. Well engineered! Bravo! I am in the process of retraining my brain to use two hands to remove the lid. After 70 it gets harder to make these little changes.

Great little butter keeper would love to see a bigger size that would fit a half 250g or full 500g block of butter. Current size is suitable for 125g of butter.

Super padre mantequillera, me gustó mucho, conserva muy bien el producto, trae unas líneas medidores que te dicen hasta donde es 1 tsp. Lo que yo buscaba era que me conservará muy bien la mantequilla y cerrara bien y ésta me gusta mucho justo lo que buscaba. El plástico de buena calidad!

I am quite the fan of prepworks and their products — well thought out and good design / functionality. This butter dish is no exception. Butter stays fresher longer in this dish given the seal. Not as heavy or awkward or big as my porcelain dish. Yes, opening the dish can require two hands but no hardship. Easy to clean and fits a stick of butter with no pruning required (as had to be done with my old, now recycled porcelain dish). AND, it is dishwasher proof — even on the lowest rack at the hottest setting. Awesome.

Muy buen recipiente Lira guardar la mantequilla, pero es difícil abrirlo creo que el soporte no es muy cómodo. Pero me gusto mucho.Lo recomiendo por que mantiene la mantequilla fresca
