After years of usage, I am glad to update my review in a 100% positive light.I use Maxcuatro on my spinning gear (3000 to 4000) which has a standard line capacity of around 100 to 150 yd 10 lb mono as an example. Maxcuatro lets me put 25% more line on a reel, for example, 150yd reg braid, versus 200yd of Maxcuatro.25% thinner means further casting, easier knot tying, and I never get wind knots.I have reels I use in both salt and fresh water. Freshwater fishing rarely needs 100'ds of yards of line, but in saltwater, I have had fish run my line out to where I had to cut it to save my rod/reel. The downside to saltwater fishing is you never know when a big Ray or 5+ foot shark may grab your bait and run into the surf.Maxcuatro is a little more expensive, but the benefits outway it. I bought this particular 500yd spool in 2020. It is now Aug 2023 and I am still using that same line on my two Baitrunners. In fact, I caught/fought a 28lb Ray last weekend on my Shimano BaitRunner-D 4000 with about 250 yards of 20lb Maxcuatro from the shore.I use Maxcuatro on all my Shimano Spinning Reels that go into the salt water, big and small 3000s up to 12000s.This stuff is great and it lasts for years!!!

Review after four trips out. Spooled this on two Jigging reels, both with 40#. Being that they are on jigging rods there is no casting. I have had no issues. With Alaska's fast tides the smaller dia line is a plus. I have regular power pro and pro hunter on all of my other jigging rods. I see little difference. There is a slight advantage with the Maxcuatro with less tip wrapping, the Max seems just slightly stiffer. But tip wrap is more the anglers fault. As I put more time on this line if any ting changes I will update.
