Bought this for all my grown daughters for Christmas. This little gadget is so much easier to use than those little ole safety pins.

I want to first off say that I misread this product. I was looking for a TAGGING gun, and while I did notice that it could be used for temporary stitching, I assumed this was ultimately a tagging gun. I've been looking for a tagging gun to hang tags on vintage clothing for my store. I'll rate this accordingly, though I believe calling this a 'tagging' gun is a bit misleading as it's actually a temporary stitch gun.Pros:It does produce precision tiny brads in the exact spots poked with needle point. It is fairly easy to use once you figure out loading.Comes with brads in cream and black.Comes with an additional needle point.Cons:These brads, while potentially effective as temporary stitches, hang off the cloth enough that they may still be noticeable and are an irritation issue unless securing multiple pieces of cloth in an area not against the skin. The potential I see here, as a costume maker, is for temp securing in alterations or visualizing a final look before running permanent stitching. This gun came with NO instructions. While I was able to figure out how to load the gun after a few minutes, I could not figure out how to release the needle for replacement or unload the gun to change brads. The gun itself is fairly cheaply made, something I'd be afraid to drop. It feels flimsy and I'm not a fan of it being constructed completely of light weight plastic. Even the trigger and needle release lever are flimsy plastic. The brads are very thin and I suspect with a little force may pull through your fabric causing fabric damage.I had issues running the brads through the cloth for the first few brads. I'm not sure if it's because it was the start of the brad line or that this machine requires you sink the needle about half way down (it's pretty thick gauge thus potentially compromising some fabrics) to sink the brads. Not a tag gun....Overall, I'm really disappointed this isn't a tag gun, but I'm not reviewing it based on this issue. I'm reviewing this gun based on it's advertised use and it still falls short. It's cheap, lacks user instructions and doesn't work at times. Considering the present price of $19.99, I'd look elsewhere.

I don't know who said let's sell those tagging guns as quick alteration guns but I'm glad they did. This would have been so cool to have when I was younger because I always wanted to modify clothing. They can hem, tack, attach, or stitch in seconds. Sometimes you can feel the plastic piece but because it's smaller it isn't as noticeable as the thicker store tag plastic. My Review Criteria: I do not review anything that I don't want/need for my own personal use and I have enough knowledge about it to provide accurate and useful details. I do tell it like it is and I am not influenced to provide feedback that isn't based on facts or my own experience. Therefore you can trust my unbiased review as if I were a friend looking out for your best interest and that of your hard-earned money.

Does small “stitching” buttt I noticed linen materials won’t hold it well as the hole will stretch due to the linens natural looseness and jean material was a little hard to go through as well depending on the thickness of the jean material but that’s expected. Otherwise sooo handy for “stitching” myself in a hurry and my little girls clothes that are a bit oversized because I buy her a half size bigger on purpose just so she can be in the size range to match her older sister. I do her straps or shoulders on shirts and dresses and tighten her skirts and shorts so they look like they fit better. IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!! They give you an extra needle which came in handy because I was forcing it through a thicker jean and it bent the needle which was totally my fault and I expected that to happen but really needed to close up a high slit in my jean skirt and it did work but did bend the needle as I was forcing it too much and so it was nice to have an extra needle and now I won’t be forcing anything anymore to preserve this needle but had I not had an extra needle I probably would’ve thrown it away so A+ for adding the extra needle! ;)
