This paddle has good power, but it is mainly a control paddle. Very balanced swing on this light paddle (8 oz). It does not have any grit, so if you are mainly a spin player, this is not the paddle for you. Great for ground strokes and crisp volleys. Intermediate to advanced paddle. Recommend.

This is my second paddle from Nicol and it delivers just as much as I expected. The coating on the paddle surface feels like very fine sandpaper, which is perfect for generating spin on my shots. It’s incredibly lightweight, making it easy to achieve higher swing speeds without feeling fatigued during longer play time.I’m liking the curved shape of the paddle, which not only feels aerodynamic but also helps me control my swing better compared to my current elongated paddle. It’s a great addition to my setup, offering versatility depending on the type of game I’m playing. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a paddle that combines spin, speed, and precision!

I'm going on my fourth year playing pickleball. I tried this paddle out this weekend, and I absolutely loved it. The frame material significantly impacts the weight of the paddle, it's durability, and how it connects to the ball. It is made out of carbon fiber, which makes it a lighter paddle than I've used in the past. Due to this, the paddle was more easily maneuvered , but it also offered much better control than I was used to. The paddle itself is also elongated, which makes for more surface area and is ideal when reaching for a difficult ball, especially backhanded shots. From a science perspective, elongated paddles also have a greater transfer of energy from the swing to the ball. Longer handle length provides added reach and leverage, and the material the handle is made out of is extremely comfortable in my hand! I play singles mostly, and due to that, I prefer a longer paddle. I felt like I had such great control over this paddle. It helped me generate more power with each swing, improved accuracy, and better ball control. It was also lightweight which made it easier to hit those dink and drop shots and quickly respond to any fast-paced shots. The paddle weighs 7.8 oz, which puts it into the mid weight category, perfect for players at all skill levels Mid weight paddles are a good combination of power and control. This paddle is perfect for my needs , and and I would highly recommend this paddle to any players looking to elevate their game!

I have played pickleball for three years and I this is my third paddle I have used. I have gotten the other two via Amazon as well for 1/3 of the price which made me excited to try this paddle, which appeared very nice. I played with it yesterday for the first time. I played three games and I started with the new paddle, then for the second game I used my old paddle and then for the third game I used the new paddle again to see the difference. When I tell you the difference is huge, I am not lying! The paddle and handle is elongated so I was able to hit more shots and execute my backhand shots (which are my favorite) far better than I have before, as my prior paddle was an inch or two shorter. This paddle also has an aerodynamic curve which increases the swing speed but also reduces the drag. I owe my swing control and control to this paddle now! This paddle also is made with anti-slip grip to provide an optimal hold and enhances shock absorption. I can't explain it fully but the feel of the paddle in my hands and when I swing it, it just feels right. I would HIGHLY recommend this paddle to anyone, I can't emphasize this enough!

This is a good paddle for beginners and intermediate players, especially for the price. I'd put it squarely in the Control category. It's lower spin than most high end paddles, and lacks the explosive pop of other paddles as well. But it's a tremendous value. You get to play with the all carbon construction to develop your feel and ball striking at less than 1/2 the price. My only complaint is the face wear from ball striking. You can see the wear in the photo and this is less than 2 months of play. I play or practice 4-5 days a week. But the paddle is solid in its construction. The edge guard is tough vs the inevitable ground contact, the handle is tight, good tacky grip, no rattles or delamination.I'll definitely keep it in my bag and use it for practice and games for at least the near future.
