Great quality, but for the price it was small. Check out measurements

I paid $25 for this, which I thought was a little steep because it's a rather small pinata with a simple design. I got it anyway because it was the best dragon pinata I could find on Amazon that would arrive in time. I was also happy with the smaller size because I have low ceilings in my house, so smaller was better. My daughter wanted a dragon pinata that was "stupid enough" that she would actually want to destroy it. This guy was cute, but not so cute you felt bad beating his face in - my daughter may have added a few touches to his face with sharpie to make him look more evil lol.We chose this red dragon over the green dragon for two reasons: it had a slightly better look to it, especially with its flying stance and the fact that it's breathing fire. My daughter had a small suggestion for improvement on the design: she said the background color of the main body of the pinata should be a different color from the dragon decal, and I agree. In any case, we got this design because I knew the tail would be a sweet spot for whacking, and it was indeed. Five kids ages 8-13 took turns at it, and it was sturdy enough to hold up to lots of whacking, but not so sturdy you had to really wail on it, and soon enough it was busting and exploding candy all over with every hit, slow-release style. Which made it really fun. I noticed there was some sort of cardboard insert inside when I was filling it, and that definitely contributed to the slow release of candy. This guy also was able to hold three medium bags of candy perfectly. This actually ended up being one of the best pinata experiences we've had so far. We usually make our own because of previous disappointments. This one came through with flying colors. Even the stick it comes with is a good idea. It's just a piece of PVC pipe, but the short length kept it safe (no one got whacked) and it was definitely sturdy enough to beat a pinata to pieces. We didn't use the confetti (just, nope) or the blindfold, which is total crap. (We don't use blindfolds at all because they're not fun or safe in our opinion.) Just for the pinata and stick alone, I give this item five stars.

We need more dragon piñata options. This was one if 3 dragon options I could find anywhere... we used it to "Slay the dragon" at our prince/princess party. It broke on first kid's hit. (Thankfully, the first kid was the birthday girl! And it held candy and continued to drop it until it was all gone. Would buy again. Was a little smaller than originally had hoped for. But it was the size described in the description of item.
