I have been using PGYTech's V1 clamp for a while. The V2 is a significant upgrade over the V1. I found the V1 finicky to mount especially when I have a strap attached to the plate. Mounting and locking on the V2 is a breeze. Super smooth and easy to use. Compatibility with non-PGYTech plates is also a plus, although I found not all my Arca plates can fit into the clamp. I can definitely recommend the V2.

I use this plate with Peak Design plates, which are supposed to be universally compatible with anything that advertises ARCA compatibility. It does work, but the locking lever doesn't fully close when using a PD plate, meaning the lever sticks out a bit. This doesn't really matter for me since I use it on an arm mount on my ZV-1, which doesn't leave my desk frequently, but it might be something to think about if you're in the Peak Design family of products. Great value, just be mindful of compatibility.

This plate & system are great but they won’t work in my configuration. My DSLR has an Arca Swiss adapter that also has a side slot to accommodate my hand strap. Using this quick release with this adapter would end up with Arca slots 90 degrees from the lens direction, meaning I can’t use it with the tilt head on my monopod and it would also be awkward with my 3-way tilt head. I do use the V1 model with my Sony compact and it works nicely with that setup. Though it doesn’t work for me, it is well made.

Really was hoping this would work for me as I liked the supposed compatibility. I ordered two of these kits both were open box though and both the locking arm would only turn about 60% shut when a plate was in place. Just don’t like this lack of complete closer of the lever. I sent them back and decided on the F38 V2 kits instead. If the lever would have closed I likely would have stayed with these as they work with regular arca Swiss plates like on camera cages. Possibly both of these were defects but they looked brand new. The company would be smart to get this quick release kit into the hands of content creators so they can get some good press. I do think this design could be a viable alternative to other more successful clamps.
