The main pleated filter was a perfect fit … and so were it’s associated washers..BUT the o rings for the filter housing cover did not fit…wrong size.. not sure why they haven’t corrected this….

This is a critically necessary transmission filter for anyone with a CVT Honda transmission. Nowhere in the owners manual or the maintenance specs does it call for this filter to be changed but it absolutely must be changed. If you look up the diagram for the CVT transmission on a Honda Accord you will see that the location of this filter sits towards the front of the vehicle And there’s a plate I believe probably made out of millet that sits over top of it with a couple 10 mm bolts of some sort. You should be changing this filter no less than every 30 to 50,000 miles max! The O-rings that come with it are not the critical O-rings that you have to have to do the job , they are specialty O-rings that are special order from Honda only. And you can only get them ordered from the parts counter at the dealership because they don’t bother to mess around with this filter because they’d rather put a new transmission in your car. They don’t stock these and they don’t really know about them because they don’t seemingly care. The two specific O-rings that you need in addition to this package you’ll have to go to the dealership for an I believe they’re about $20-$30, if you try to take the plate off extractor filter and the O-rings in the picture, you will not be able to reassemble it without purchasing the Honda only O-rings from the dealership because the ones that you take out will be too big and flappy to fit back in and there’s no actual gasket between the billet cover and the actual CVT transmission. The O-ring is the only gasket doing the job so you can’t just stuff it back in and hope it will work because it won’t. So absolutely buy this kit and then drive your little fanny right down to the parts store at your local Honda parts counter and order these O-rings because if you think you’re going to be wise and pop up in your case of O-rings from Harbor freight you’re going to screw up your CVT transmission because you’re going to get in ternal Transmission fluid bleed through between the two areas or it’s going to leak leak leak leak but whatever you do, you will screw your transmission up trying to be smart and trying to rig this up. I repeat the 20 rings that they don’t talk about in this package will show up in the schematic for this part if you Google this under CVT transmission schematics for filter replacements. When I looked, it also did not specify the O-rings so I had much of an option other than to go to Honda and as a sidenote, just to be helpful don’t listen to these stupid online threads that tell you that any transmission fluid is just as good as another if you’re not using a Honda made fluid for that particular vehicle, you’re destroying your transmission guaranteed….
