This is a classic Petersham Ribbon. Vintage high quality of construction. Good for Millinery work or for other vintage style sewing construction. Very nice. 10/10

This is real Petersham ribbon, not grosgrain ribbon. There's no stiff edge, so you should be able to shape it with steam. However, it's rayon, not cotton, and so you can't really use as much steam as you need to really shape it well. You may be able to shape it into slight curves with some work. It's pretty thin, too. It's very attractive ribbon for wrapping though, or other craft uses.

Wow, I’ve never seen ribbon packaged this nicely! This petersham ribbon came packaged very well, arrived quickly. For reference, it has a soft flexible drape. For reference, I have held it next to an orange 1” grosgrain, you can see that the grosgrain is stiff, while the white petersham gently drapes over my fingers. The softness would make it well suited for bindings and applications where it would be worn close to the skin, as it has a nice soft, silk-like feel. I ordered the 1” and it will work well for my application. I do REALLY REALLY wish that they also sold 1/2” size and had more colors.
