The Verdict:NEUTRALThe GOOD:- Good variety- Included case- Case does it's job to keep parts separateThe BAD:- Inaccurate description of partsChanges to get 5-stars:- Update description to remove "uninsulated butt connectors"- Put a sticker label on the lid, inside or outBottom Line:If you need some inexpensive uninsulated ferrules these will do the job. If you need butt connectors these aren't it!Details:It's 100% my fault for not fully reading the description and looking at the pictures in the listing, but I got these thinking they were butt connectors. The description said they were, after the word ferrules of course, and so I pulled the trigger. Had I slowed down the word ferrules should have set me back. My bad. It was probably 1AM when I was ordering these. Anyway, they are FERRULES and seem to do the job. The are very thin, but then again most of them are. I don't have the proper crimpers, but they do crimp easy with the ones I have. The little plastic box is inexpensive, but gets the job done. It has a small piece of foam at the top to keep everything in place and it works. If they update the listing and remove butt connectors and throw a sticker on the lid with the sizes I'd give it a solid 4-stars. Maybe 5 if they make the plastic box a little bit nicer, but then again, for the price you can't really complain.************************************************My Rating Scale:5 STARS - Item worked better than advertised and exceeded my expectations. The socks are fine. They're thin and stretchy and reasonably comfortable. As you can see in the listing, they DO have toe seams, so if that's an issue, be aware. They are not particularly subtle seams, either, so I have to be careful with them myself. (Not abnormally large, necessarily, but you can definitely feel them.) They stay up nicely and don't bind.I toyed with three stars here, though. Why? The sizing is a complete joke, and yes, that's a part of a product experience. In what universe does a 15-year-old young man wear the literal SAME socks as an 11-year-old little girl? The one these socks come from , apparently, but it's not the one where I live. For that matter, I know 15-year-olds that wear about a size 5 women's (35EU) and some that have worn size 12 men's (47EU). Needless to say, these two people did not wear anything near the same size hosiery. Socks should be sized by shoe size, not age.Since these are provided to me at no charge, I'm in a position to gather some information. I got the 11-15 year old size, and they fit me fine. I wear about a 6.5, on the wide side, 36-37EU, for reference. They were not too large, and I don't think anybody with feet much bigger could wear these without having the heel in their arch. You could probably go a little smaller than my size, but again, not too terribly much.I landed on a 7/10, which works out to 3.5, which rounds to 4 stars in this system. If the sizing lived in a rational world, they'd be 4 stars, no problem.

The socks are fine. They're thin and stretchy and reasonably comfortable. As you can see in the listing, they DO have toe seams, so if that's an issue, be aware. They are not particularly subtle seams, either, so I have to be careful with them myself. (Not abnormally large, necessarily, but you can definitely feel them.) They stay up nicely and don't bind.I toyed with three stars here, though. Why? The sizing is a complete joke, and yes, that's a part of a product experience. In what universe does a 15-year-old young man wear the literal SAME socks as an 11-year-old little girl? The one these socks come from , apparently, but it's not the one where I live. For that matter, I know 15-year-olds that wear about a size 5 women's (35EU) and some that have worn size 12 men's (47EU). Needless to say, these two people did not wear anything near the same size hosiery. Socks should be sized by shoe size, not age.Since these are provided to me at no charge, I'm in a position to gather some information. I got the 11-15 year old size, and they fit me fine. These are mid-weight "dress" socks for kids. While they may be a tad big/long, they work. Last year I found the cutest women's socks and knew the pattern would delight my 7-year-old. It was amazing that she didn't notice the extra length, adapted and loved the socks. Same here. Kids grow so quickly that the excess will be fine before I know it.It's nice to have a pair of dress socks instead of the bright colored patterns. The bamboo makes then super soft. Much softer than cotton or cotton blends as it is silky soft. Nice find!
