the wood is sturdy, beautifully finished, and has a great natural look that adds warmth to my space. The shelf is a fantastic bonus, offering extra storage for the bunk room in our house. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a high-quality wall-mounted coat rack.

The shelf seems good quality and didn’t require assembly which was nice. It came with 2 screws and 2 drywall anchors and 0 installation instructions. I was installing into drywall (not studs) so I tried to use the included anchors.Absolute trash.You can’t tighten the screws into the anchors all the way because the screws need to protrude to catch on the back of the shelf. But if you leave the screw protruding, the shelf hangs away from the wall and you end up ripping the screw and anchor out of the wall.After 2 attempts with this method (4 holes in the wall) I gave up and screwed straight through the back of the shelf and into the anchors.It looks nice but I have very little confidence in its stability.

I'm so impressed with this shelf! It's real wood with solid hardware. I put it up by myself in no time. Now I just wish they made a storage bench to match

This is a well-built quality item. It’s heavy. It’s substantial. It comes fully assembled. It feels like it’s handcrafted, even though that is probably not the case. It has clean lines and traditional oak styling, but the metal hooks provide a nice modern contrast. They look like brushed nickel, although I’m not really sure what they are. (The manufacturer describes them only as “premium metal material.”) The color of the wood is a little darker than the photos shown in the product listing, so if you are looking to color match (as I was), this could be an issue. But as long as your existing furniture or shelves are in the oak family, you should be OK. This piece complements my other oak pieces, even if it’s not exactly the same shade.There is a lot of attention to detail here. The wood is smooth and finished, with a nice sheen and the shelf features sturdy hidden mounting holes on the back. I would have preferred a paper template to help position the screws. The webpage description mentions “instructions,” but there was nothing of the sort in the box. Maybe a template is supposed to be included in the missing instructions, I don’t know. In any case, it’s OK, this is not my first rodeo… it was pretty easy to hang and secure to the wall.I’m using this in the bedroom and am putting lightweight jackets and umbrellas on the hooks, as well as ear buds, hats and keys, but I did a stress test with heavy winter coats and a briefcase and it could handle the load. I recommend you use the plastic anchors that come with it to secure the piece to the wall, unless you’re attaching this to wood, in which case you’re probably OK just using screws (also included). I have a framed photo on the top shelf, along with eyeglasses, a contact lens case and some contact lens solutions. This shelf is attractive and functional, regardless of where you put it or how you choose to use it.
