Sus guías Duraguides son de una pieza de acero inoxidable y sus insertos no se salen, lo cual es un alivio ya que es algo que pasa con frecuencia.

My first reel was a Penn. I bought it 55 years ago, and it still works well. This set may have worked well too. I will never know, because it got so torn up in shipping, that UPS sent it back to Amazon, because they considered it, not deliverable. After reading about other people having the same issues, I decided to buy something else. Most sellers put fishing rods in hard cardboard tubes. I have received several shipped that way, in perfect condition. Probably a superior method, verses using an oversize box. If I see a Penn sold local retail, I may still pick one up, to see if what they sell is still excellent.

I might be new to fishing but this rod really is exceeding my expectations aesthetics wise really excited to try this rod out so far 5 stars

I ordered the 6000le and the 6000, both with the 7foot medium heavy 1 piece rods.The 6000 came with a minimal amount of paper packing material inside of the long, flimsy box, but with a piece of cardboard around the tip of the rod.That one seems to have survived the trip although I haven't used it yet.The le arrived with a little bit of plastic bubble packing in a similar long, flimsy box, no cardboard around the tip of the rod which was broken completely off to about an inch from the next guide.I thought it was missing altogether until I found it wedged under the flap at the end of the box while repacking it to return.I dropped the return at the UPS store the next day,no problem. Amazon sent a replacement about a week later.It arrived a few minutes ago, and I could hear the broken tip rattling around inside the box as I was bringing it into the house.Sure enough, I opened it up and saw the unprotected, broken rod with the tip at the bottom of the box, and this time not a speck of paper or cardboard or bubble wrap or any packing of any kind to protect it.I know these reels are amazing for the price. I own a few of them in various sizes, and they're great.Great drag systems, smooth bearings, and really as good as reels selling for twice as much.Getting a rod seemed like a no brainer.The Penn rods I have are great values, tough and durable and comfortable to use... Perfect for the kids and grandkids to use when we go out together.Unfortunately whoever is packing these for Amazon does absolutely nothing to protect them in transit.This one is going back for a refund.I'll buy my rods elsewhere.Reels: no problem so far.
