Even though this is referred to as a Pet De-Knotting Comb by Ringkok, there is no way I would use something so sharp on my cat. The razor is exposed and not worth taking the risk, especially since pets don't usually want to sit still during such grooming sessions.However, I have seen these exact products used as envelope openers and this works great for that. The razor is sharp and its hook lets you get right under the envelope's flap to open a letter quickly and easily.Be careful opening the package because it is sealed tightly and the razor exposed without any safety cover.An improvement to the letter opener would be if a way to store it so the razor is covered was included, or if there was at least some kind of cover to the exposed razor.

Got this for our cat's knots and it works well. It can be a little hard to get the knot perfectly but it gets most of it.

This is my 17 lb fluffy foster fail Kai. I live on Maui, where there is a large feral cat population. My daughters boyfriend rescued Kai the day she was born blowing down the street. I decided I will help them out by making sure she was fed every two hours until she was able to grow big enough to find a forever home. I'm not sure if it's because she had no mama to teach her how to groom properly, but she was very prone to very large clumps of hair stuck all over her body. I had tried all kinds of expensive crushes and tools that were supposed to break it up and take it off.Easy and none of them work. The day I ordered it.I started rubbing in the areas where I knew I would need to use the tool. When I got the tool, I then use it to scratch her back and rub around her legs to get her used to the feeling of the tool. She started to slowly enjoy the nightly scratches with it. I thenbstarted using it to break up the matts. I'm happy to say she is now matt free. About once a week, I still use it just to make sure nothing form. Thank you for such a great product.

I have an aging cat with long hair and he is having a problem with keeping up with his undercoat. We brush him every day but that only helps a little. He still gets all knotted up. I thought this would work perfect for getting some of those knots cut skinnier. I purchased and it arrived fast and without damage in very secure packaging. I cut it open and grabbed the cat. It worked okay. I still had a hard time at getting the point of it through a knot. It was making the cat really angry lol. It did cut some of the bigger ones so I could try and brush out but no luck. I still had to get the shavers out. If you have a cat with the same problem you could give it a try but I would just cut them out. It is a lot easier.
