Couldn't believe that it actual worked and was the same one that came with the original JameCo toilet. Only issue is the rubber guard piece didn't fit on this toilet and really not necessary unless the opening is too big. My toilet handle opening is perfect without it. The only difference is my original toilet handle came with a rubber washer, but no biggie.

Fit perfectly on my old Elger. 1-minute installation, no kidding. Took longer to click "buy now"!

I have an older toilet (Western brand) with a left-side flush lever. The local hardware store doesn't have any direct replacement levers with this same form factor. Apparently everything is front-mounted now.I tried two different "universal" adjustable levers, and neither one was able to make the toilet flush. So I came to Amazon and found this unit. It's perfect. It installed just like the old one, and we were back in business. I'm so glad someone is still producing levers with this form factor.Note: The square bit that attaches into the square hole in the toilet reservoir comes with a black sleeve attached. It wouldn't fit into the square hole with the black sleeve attached, so I just removed the black sleeve and it fits with a tiny bit of wiggle. But my old lever was like that too.

Let me start by saying, I've had my low profile toilet for 20 years and ever since the first handle broke, I was never able to find the right one even from plumbing stores. The cutout in the side of the tank is square and was only able to find a handle with a round insert which caused the handle to partially spin around with every flush and would constantly need adjustment. With that said, I saw this one with the square insert and jumped on it and let me tell you it's a home run. The way my toilet is placed, there is very limited space to the left of it because of the vanity as you can see in the picture, so if this is your case, you just have to insert it on an angle and wiggle it a bit to get it inserted, but this is in no way the fault of the maker of the handle. There is also a removable rubber grommet around the insert that fits in the cutout of the tank to accommodate different size cutouts. I left mine on. Another concern I noticed by other reviewers, was that the handle rattled. I will tell you this, it does rattle a bit, but in 20 years I have never had one that doesn't, even the original that came with it, and it is in no way a problem.
