It’s not the softest but not uncomfortable, it is hardy and will last. Great self striping and such a huge range of options. A little thicker than most sock yarn, I usually use a size 1 to knit socks but this yarn I use a size 2 needle.

This brand says it's #1 weight, but it does tend to be heavier than most #1 sock yarn. As long as you can make gauge on your pattern, that doesn't matter much, though. This brand is durable and comfortable. This colorway is gorgeous if, like me, you like bright colors. It has a very long repeat.

I knit two at a time socks - a separate skein for each - and I don't know it was just luck or Paton planned it, but I was very pleased that the stripes matched as I knitted. It was only necessary to cut about six inches off one skein to get a perfect match. I will consider buying this again. The deducted star was because the yarn isn't at all soft and depending one what you might use it for it might cause itching or feel scratchy.
