Hard to give this hat a rating . You'll either love it or hate it -- depending on the size of your head. I have a pretty large noggin. I take a 7-5/8 but can squeeze into a 7 1/2 OK. I bought the smaller of the two hats they offer (the L / XL) and it is ENORMOUS. COLLOSAL. IMMENSE. TITANIC. (You get my drift?)Now the hat does come with this clever little drawstring doo-hicky in the back . You pull it and the hat size shrinks. But if you pull the string TOO far the whole shape of the hat changes into something weird. Trust me, homies. You don't wanna go there.I'd say this hat is impossible for anyone under an 8. But if you've got an 8 or bigger, well, you're going to love it.

This really does run large! I got the biggest size for 7 3/4 ish size noggin, and it’s too big. I was warned, just didn’t believe them. But it’s a great hat- just believe the sizing guide!

I ordered on in XL and one in XXL. The XL was too small and the XXL was just huge.

Totally comfortable and widely adjustable as to girth. Also looks nifty. My only quibble is that the buttonholes for holding your sunglasses perched on the bill (a terrific idea) are so small that I have to take the hat off and struggle to get the ear pieces of the glasses into them, then be careful putting the hat back on so that the glasses don't fall off in the process.
