I got these because they were budget friendly Pearl Izumis, and didn't want to get the cheap chinese bibs. What a mistake. These are junk. The chamois is terrible and the shoulder straps have no hem so they roll up and just feel weird. I don't think they will last very long either. They are made in China anyway so might as well get the better quality Chinese ones and not waste your money on the PI name tag.

The fit of these bibs is pretty comfortable. I’ve used these bibs three times so far for rides ranging from 35-50 miles and was pleasantly surprised for the comfort, especially the chamois. The negatives for me involve the shoulder straps which I find a bit narrower than I would have preferred and feel like they may tear if pulled too hard. Additionally, the front stomach panel is cut a bit high which makes nature breaks a little tough. Overall though the fit on the saddle matters the most to me and these are keepers

I’ve spent years trying to balance price to comfort ratio, and I’ve finally found the balance. First off I got these on sale at $45 each, and I would gladly pay double. Padding is serviceable, and those complaining it’s thin are mistaken. A thin chamois doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s more about its density. Thicker can cause chaffing and saddle sores. In my opinion these are perfect. The bibs themselves are super comfortable, I’ve seen complaints of the laser cut straps rolling up, which is true and a valid complaint. But it really isn’t a deal breaker and didn’t bother me much. Sizing is true to the chart, it’s hard for me to find my size and a medium fit me perfectly. I’m 5’3 160lbs. All in all I’m super happy with this purchase and will continue to pick Pearl Izumi for my bibs, as I’ve finally found the perfect value to quality/comfort ratio.

-I've been mountain biking since 1990 so I've gone through a lot of shorts/bibs.-These are so much better than what we had in the '90s.-For the sale price ($45) they are good bibs, but probably not worth regular retail ($100)-I wear then under my 'baggy' shorts so I like the lighter/thinner fabric.-I've never liked thick chamois so I'm OK with this one, but I don't expect it to be good for more than a season of riding.-Don't expect them to feel like $250 bibs.
