We switched to another brand to make key lanyards but found it nearly impossible to melt the paracord. This one is strong and melts perfectly!

Great product! tested on many different applications. I've used it for paracord bracelets and on many projects (shelters, holding backpack together, repairing hammock, repairing fence, holding together backpack, etc...). I love paracord and carry a bundle everywhere I go. I keep about 100ft in my vehicles and atv's, 20 ft on my person, 500 ft in my garage. It is always useful and strong enough to get most jobs done. I have also used several strands tied together to pull out a stuck vehicle....Good stuff.

For the record, NO this is not actual MILITARY paracord. However, this is an EXCELLENT civilian version. My neighbor (retired military) actually thought is was military cord, but as a former paratrooper, I know better - and I also know that for 99% of normal applications, this is great cord. Obviously, if you're working with a parachute, then you should be buying actual military grade, but for most people this is just what you're looking for. The reason some get finicky about this product is because it says "Mil-Spec" in the description, but anyone should concede that the term is used loosely these days. I needed about 500 ft to line up a fence line, and I was very pleased that (so far) it's a single piece of cord (not like those that are several 100 ft pieces put on the same spool). I got mine from Paracord Planet.Listen... unless you're doing professional grade work (in which case you should be buying professional grade materials)... this is great cord. Don't let the "mil-spec" fanatics scare you away from some high quality "civilian" cord. This is good stuff.Update: I see that Paracord Planet has since dropped the "Mil-Spec" designation from the description, as is appropriate. My review stills stands... unless you're looking for something your life depends on, this is great cord. I cannot imagine what others (who had negative reviews) received, but what I got what just what I expected and is excellent cord for everyday use.

I have already used it for 2 bullwhips and I still have enough cord left for several more. The price was right but it was a relatively stiff paracord, which made lacing and plaiting a little harder on my fingers. All said it is tightly weaved cord that should last.

The photograph is fairly accurate. It is a bright yellow. I am using it for school fundraisers - excellent quality, fast shipping, durable, easy to work with; for the price I would purchase again.
