I've used one of mine to add storage to a Pico. Works perfectly. SD cards operate at 3.3 Volts so I'm not sure why these mention 5 volts in the description. They are breadboard friendly when used with included SIP header. Good price

These are amazing. They were hard to program at first, but upon further inspection, we found out it was a user error. We use the Tuya app with everything in my house; we love it!

I added these key fobs to our Tuya Smart lock. I was told by the locksmith that installed the lock that additional fobs couldn’t be added. These fobs are reasonably priced so it was worth a try. Super happy that they work.

I tried a DIY SD card reader on ESP32 and got all kinds of random errors and card corruption. Been using these for about 6 months now and they've been flawless on ESP32. My ESP32 previously used SPIFFS but it was easy enough to swap out all the SPIFFS code and replace it with code from the SD card library on Arduino. Also every api call was the same or very similar.Best part is I can now do things like logging to SD card with way more room than SPIFFS. I also store my WiFi creds on the card and config files too. Much easier to remove the card and manage files on my laptop so I don't have to do everything over the wifi.

Ordered these for my smart lock as only 2 were supplied with the lock. I opened the bag and linked them to the lock no problem. Very compact and exactly what we wanted ,now everyone has a card key and have some spares.Great buy.

The listing is incorrect, these devices run on 3V3, not the 5 as described. They do work fine, I tested with the standard SD arduino library on an ESP32. They have swapped pins CLK and MOSI compared to all the other SD card readers. This is annoying because I can't use the normal 4 pin wire that I use for connecting. Changing the software pin definitions might work for the pin numbers but then these parts aren't exactly interchangeable. I do like the size and the fact that they run on 3V3.
